Shake A Paw Puppies

Seriously, I love going to pet stores just to look at all the cute adorable puppies you can possible imagine. The other day my friend Britnie Antoinette and myself took a trip after school out to Shake A Paw pet store on Route 22 in New Jersey. Neither one of us had the money to buy a puppy, but I just love the fact that you can take out a puppy and play with them lol. I have a female Shih-Tzu already and I'm always asking my mom for another dog, I'm always setting myself up for failure lol. We took out a 2 month old female Yorkshire Terrier who is a feisty and energetic little playful pup. We named her Tullulah, CUTE RIGHT!?

We were done with Tullulah because she had peed on the floor and was rolling around in her pee which was so weird. Then I met another little Lhasa Apso puppy who was the cutest male dog I've ever seen. He was the cutest white/dirty blonde fluffy little thing. I felt a connection with him dearly, even though we didn't take him out of the cage there was something that felt like we were meant to be. I wanted him dearly and I still do. I named him Rio! Of course, I couldn't tell you this story without having pictures, so here are some pictures plus a lil extra treat after the jump. Enjoy :-)!

Pet Grooming Sometimes Too Much!

I just noticed why does local pet grooming services charge more than brand pet companies such as Petsmart, PetCo. and etc. Seriously, I own a 4 year old female Shih-Tzu and I get charged $50 just for a full groom, $30-$40 for just a wash. I checked prices for PetSmart and a grooming package the most is $21, talk about saving money. The reason why I don't go to PetSmart or PetCo. reason being the distance of how far I am from the nearest one. New Jersey isn't quite travel friendly to these places at the most. I mean whatever, dog grooming shouldn't be so much an d strict on shots, as long as the pet has updated their shots at the beginning of the year, there shouldn't be a problem. What's your take on the situation? Do you come across expensive dog grooming?

Should Dogs Sleep In The Same Bed With Their Owners?

I have an important question, how many of you feel dogs shouldn't sleep in the same bed as their owners? Well, this question has been on my mind for a long time now, well ever since my female Shih Tzu grew out of her puppy stage. My dog is four years old and ever since she was a puppy I would put her in the bed with me. My dog isn't the type of dog who sleeps wild, she usually goes into her spot, curls up and sleep. I'm usually the one who is waking her up to snuggle with her. My dog Tokyo is pretty much spoiled but she knows when she belongs and when she doesn't. I don't mind my dog sleeping in the bed with me, but the hair hassle can get pretty annoying. I think I don't say anything because when i'm away she's already on my bed resting. Tokyo has her own crate and her own bed laid out on the floor. Is this normal for a house pet? Do you think it's good for dogs to sleep in the same bed as their owner? What are you views on this?

What Do You Feed Your Pet?

I like to feed my pooch Purina "Beneful" and shall I add my toy breed Shih Tzu "Tokyo" absolutely goes crazy for it. I sometimes give her "Puppy Chow" but that's only when I need her bowl to look full. I truly recommend you give your dog "Beneful" because it has everything your dog needs. "Beneful" is full vitamins, calcium, and all wholesome natural healthy food; just turned into dog food somehow. There are 6 different kinds of "Beneful"; Original, Healthy Harvest, Healthy Weight, Healthy Radiance, Healthy Growth (Puppies), & Playful Life. I choose to give my dog Tokyo "Healthy Weight" so she can stay at the same healthy weight. Lately, she's been feeling a little skinny so I might kick up her food step and switch over to the "Playful Life" brand. "Beneful" brand also produces wet food that's awesome, it's just like home cooked meals, like you can really eat them if you were starving to death lol. What do you feed your dog? How often do you feed your dog? Let me know, I love hearing how other people raise their dog.
