Weekend Recap 5/18 - 5/20

What did I do this weekend? Hmm...well for starters can we talk about how bad I need a haircut?! Thank You I Know! Basically this weekend was chill. Here's how I spent it, for those who care to know what people with no life do. 

Should Dogs Sleep In The Same Bed With Their Owners?

I have an important question, how many of you feel dogs shouldn't sleep in the same bed as their owners? Well, this question has been on my mind for a long time now, well ever since my female Shih Tzu grew out of her puppy stage. My dog is four years old and ever since she was a puppy I would put her in the bed with me. My dog isn't the type of dog who sleeps wild, she usually goes into her spot, curls up and sleep. I'm usually the one who is waking her up to snuggle with her. My dog Tokyo is pretty much spoiled but she knows when she belongs and when she doesn't. I don't mind my dog sleeping in the bed with me, but the hair hassle can get pretty annoying. I think I don't say anything because when i'm away she's already on my bed resting. Tokyo has her own crate and her own bed laid out on the floor. Is this normal for a house pet? Do you think it's good for dogs to sleep in the same bed as their owner? What are you views on this?

Tokyo woke up to the sounds of construction workers outside my house. Tokyo has to be the cutest dog ever, why is she standing so tall at attention haha.

Pet Grooming

Okay, I out of all people should know how tough dog grooming is. When my Shih-Tzu Tokyo gets all wacky haired and stinky, it's my duty to bathe her. The bathing part I say is the easiest of them all. The hard part about grooming a Shih-Tzu is the brushing/combing of hair. Sometimes you'll even have a worse time if your little pooch is all matted up. My dog really doesn't get matted up too often, but when she does it's usually around her paws and hinds of her legs, or merely around her vagina area EWW! Well this is because I tend not to brush her often, they say a Shih-Tzu doesn't shed a lot, but TRUST they do! It varies on the Shih-Tzu though. My dog sheds most of the time when she's nappy. I hate the hair so I try not to brush her until I give her a bath. 

Must Love Dogs

I have literally found my favorite dog and owner couple. Everyone say hello to Bethenny Frankel and her precious baby Cookie. Actually, not only am I obsessed with the two but they act just like how me and my dog Tokyo would act. Bethenny treats Cookie like she is the queen of the world and although I may not give Tokyo all that power, I still know how to make Tokyo feel very much important in my life. I recently came across Bethenny's YouTube page and saw a video of Bethenny giving Cookie these delightful treats and it was such the cutest thing to see Cookie eat a carrot and popcorn =). Also there's a video where Bethenny is pretending to be the voice of Cookie, telling all of YouTube land her diet regime after the holidays and how she plans to get back in shape. Hopefully I can find a video of my dog and I. I'm telling you,  Once you see us you will see the similarities Bethenny share in the unconditional love we give our pooches. =)

Wishful Wednesday...

Haha, so I guess everyone know's my Wish this Wednesday. I already have a Shih-Tzu, but she's growing up and really hasn't never been around other dogs. Tokyo, my Shih-Tzu, needs company in her life. I'm beginning to think about saving up tons of money again to buy a boy Yorkshire/Maltese mix. Yes! This is Wishful Wednesday. Let's Make It Happen People!!! Who Wants To Sponsor? =)

Dogs And Obedience

Ever wondered what your patience level is? Well, in reference to a dog think of it as three crying newborns. Now do you have patience? Dogs are are blank when you first meet them. Dogs only go by what they want to do when and however they please. I own a black and white Shih Tzu by the name of Tokyo. Tokyo's a 2 and a half year old girl. I first got her when she was 6-months. Training and Obedience to me, Thank God wasn't that bad. It is said it is best to train your dog when they are puppies. Overall, Tokyo did give me a hard time while teaching her to sit, stay, and come when called upon. My reason for this blog is to figure out the mind of dogs and why they only have a mind of their own. Training a dog isn't always peaches and cream as you see on television. There is a lot of hard work, dedication and PATIENCE that goes into training your dog to be obedient. Well, here's what I'm wondering about my dog. Most of the time when Tokyo sees me with her leash she knows its time for a walk. Now, on the other hand when I'm away and I leave my mother to tend to Tokyo, she doesn't listen to my mother nor does she come to her at command. Is it because my dog was so attached to me teaching her commands or is it because my mother doesn't put enough bass in her voice for Tokyo to listen? lol. I tried telling my mother to bribe her with lil snacks each step Tokyo takes towards her when she calls, but then that'll only make Tokyo think she has to have a treat to come when called. HELP ME OUT!!! What do you think?

Puppies,Puppies,Puppies

Hi Fellow Bloggers, Yesterday I had a splendid time, I went to the most magnificent puppy store in my area of New Jersey. I traveled along with my best friend and her adorable girlfriend to Shake-A-Paw Puppy Store, in Centrel, New Jersey. I've always passed by it but I would never stop to check it out, I heard rumors that the store stunk!!! The Store doesnt really stink , it was really just the residue and pee from the puppies.

Chanttel picked out the cutest shih tzu ever!!!!!!!!!! she was just born this month, and her color was amazing, I on the other hand named her already "Honey Child"(taken from Nicole Richie's Shih Tzu) haha. Chanttels' girlfriend Erika, she also picked out the cutest and adorable Beagle i've ever seen. Once again I had to name the little puppy, so i named her "Samantha".

I used to have a dog when I was a little toddler, but then as I grew up, and my family got rid of the family dog, I became scared of dogs. That was until my Chanttel, and her family had a lil dog named "Prince" which btw he's an all white male Maltese; I got used to being around him, and wanted him for my own, early year of 2008, I got my first black and white Shih Tzu puppy, and I named her Tokyo. After all this puppy talk, I decided I wanted one more puppy, so once I save up all of my money again I'm going to buy me another puppy!!!! :-) Wish me Luck.

Video Blog #1

Hey Everyone I Thought I would do things a little different and once a week or twice post a video blog!!!! YAY!!!!! YOU GET TO HEAR AND SEE ME DO THE THINGS I SAY IM ALWAYS DOING!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!! lOl bUt Anyway im very tired right now, i sooooo am up from 10pm of last night* haha, so im exhausted and then today i had to do mega laundry which was all of my clothes...and then running around xmas shopping with my fam...Im sooo exhuasted and beat!!!!!! lol but heres a video of my puppy tokyo(shih tzu) she got her 2nd grooming cut since like April..Im sooo happy because the long hair she was growing i couldnt dtake any much of it, so i had to snip snip cut cut her!!! haha How Do You Like Tokyo's New Cut???? I Say its very Katie Holmes Sheek* haha Enjoy!!!

Catching Up!!!

New Post Everyone!!!

Okay so i havent posted in days...the reason why is because i've been sooo caught up with what just happened to me over the last few days. Well here it is, im sharing this with you all, I got Terminated From my Job at Abercrombie & Fitch Outlet( Jersey Gardens Mall) haha...Ghetto!!!! Well there is this new manager, she's trying to be the Joe Clark(Movie:Lean On Me) of the store...so she got mad because my shift was from 11-4 and she wanted me to stay longer until someone else came in the store so that they could greet. At my store you always need a greeter, and i had a ride home which my ride had to go to class so you figure it out... (o: haha, she felt i was rude, and wrote me up and saw unfortunately found 3 other write ups which of 1 of them i was notified of. Basically, im going to call Home Office until i get this problem resolved. Oh' Friday i also got Keeping Up With The Kardashians Season1 DVD!!!! iits a must see i loves itt' its amazin* So i will be posting my updates on Job Hunting , i hate not working sooo i soo need to do something..until January when i go to school. Im blabbbing on right now because, i am certainly in bed at 4.13am about to take it down...also i have a new friend in my life, a cute guy friend whose single so ladies get at me if you want him!!! haha... Hes very nice and i spent the night at his house which was sooooo much fun on Friday, haha his mom is cute and nice. Saturday i came home, ate, and went to sleep to catch up on some rest i needed it shall i say... but anywhos it was nice to spend the house(full) with my brothers, sisters, parents, and nephew all in one night just having a ball!!! LOVE THEM AlL!!!!! Oh And SHout OUt to everyone who walked on the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk!!!!! GOd Bless Everyone GoOd NIght...Oh Tokyo says Goodnite 2!!! haha
