'BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES' SEASON 4 TRAILER [VIDEO]

THEY ARE BACK...WITH TONS OF DRAMA!!! 

From their first big on screen fight, I thought reality tv for the Braxton family wasn't such a good idea. I actually had empathy for the family and I suggested as amazing the ratings have been for the show, however the plug needs to be pulled. America's favorite African-American musical family shouldn't be seen bickering and arguing over fame, divorce, egos, infidelity, resentment and so on. 

After doing tons of press, the Braxton family expressed the issues seen on the show happens to everyone in a family, big or small. After watching seasons 2 and 3, I changed my mind and said "okay they're correct" as they all worked to mend their bitterness towards one another. The issues on the show couldn't be made up if WEtv wanted to script it. BFV is absolutely 100% REAL!

As season 4 readies its premiere this August, I'm going back to my original decision to put a halt on the hit WEtv reality show 'Braxton Family Values'. This season seems to be the most EXPLOSIVE season they've ever filmed. In the sneak peek trailers we see the feud between Traci and Tamar still lagging on, the sisters sitting down discussing their joint family album, Traci threatening to press charges on somebody, Towanda releases furious anger as she breaks wine glasses and Tamar painfully stating this will be her last scene and season of BFV.

Beyoncé- 'Self-Titled' PART 4. LIBERATION

After the BIG SURPRISE Beyoncé gave us last year 12.13.2013 with releasing her fifth self titled album on iTunes only, the ENTERTAINMENT ICON also known as KING BEY has been releasing a series of videos that lets us in on Beyoncé; the Singer, Performer, Mother, Wife,Person and ARTIST. Beyoncé's videos gives us behind the scenes footage as well as interview on the release and creation of her platinum selling new album 'BEYONCÉ' as it became one of iTunes fastest selling albums to date. 

In PART 4. LIBERATION, Beyoncé talks about the graphic song on the album "PARTITION". A track that invites fans and listeners to the seductive sounds of Beyoncé sexually engaging in acts with her husband rapper, JAY Z. With such lines such as "HE POPPED ALL MY BUTTONSAND HE RIPPED MY BLOUSEHE MONICA LUWINSKI’D ALL ON MY GOWN...", Beyoncé raised eyebrows to critics saying this has never been heard and done by the DIVA herself. In the video, Beyoncé tells us how she never played the track for her mother, Tina Knowles.

The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour - My Experience [Video]

Hey Everyone!

Extremely sorry about the delay of uploading the video I promised of my experience at Beyoncé's 'The Mrs. Carter Show' world tour. Editing took forever and I didn't know the finalizing and uploading portions would nearly take almost half the day. It was a pretty gruesome process for my eyes and brain. I tried to be as creative as can be. I got the job done and it is now available to view. 

A little about the video before you watch it. I wanted to edit and create this video as entertaining as possible. The clips I actually recorded weren't very entertaining enough, so I thought I'd borrow video clips from YouTube and a YouTube user by the name of 'JBoogie157'. I created a YouTube DVD experience with chapters included. 

Editing Process

I wanted to showcase Beyoncé's momentum up until she started her tour. Before touring, there were a few promotions Beyoncé engaged in from the top of year (2013) until now (the tour). If you all don't remember Beyoncé performed at Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show and I started with that performance followed by the tour's first AD commercial leading up to the promotions of PEPSI and H&M. To really get your momentum going, I added the official 'The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour' trailer which begins my experience at the concert. 

I had such a great time editing this video as well as attending the concert. I plan on going back a second time to the tour this December 19th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. I hope you all enjoy this video and if you haven't purchased your ticket to see Beyoncé, I'd advise you to do so immediately.

Who knew Valentine's Day could be spent so much better with best friends?! This past Valentine's Day was so much fun, my friend Britnie and I decided since we were both single on a lover's day to just have a Single's Date Night. We went to Kenilworth Diner (OUR ABSOLUTE FAV) and somehow ended up in Wal-Mart buying DVDs, taking pictures with random people and acting a crazy mess. We even acted as little big kids in the toy section hula-hooping. I mean how much fun could one have on Valentine's Day in Wal-Mart?!

Assigned Sex - Ep. 2: Family Matters [Video]

Here's the second episode to one of the most fascinating webisodes on YouTube of 2013. If you haven't watched episode one then I suggest you click Assigned Sex - Ep. 1: Ring The Alarm. In episode 1 we were introduced to the transgender individuals, in episode 2 we are introduced to each cast members family and their take on the whole transgender situation. Pretty good to watch beings though now that the family is being brought to the camera to discuss their feelings. Some families agree with the situation and some families don't, you'll just have to watch for yourself and continue to keep up with the series.

I don't know what took me so long to edit this video, but I did say I was going to share it with you all. Here's a video from last semester that my friend Aglaelle and I did randomly, we were bored and decided to sing a little. We both have such beautiful voices but I really admire Aglaelle's even more, I can't wait until we both hit the studio and record a duet. 

In this video we decided to sing some Gospel songs ("I Love The Lord" - Whitney Houston & "I Give Myself Away" - William McDowell) and close out with "Silent Night" most famously by Mariah Carey; this video was definitely recorded in December; excuse us for being in the holiday moment. How cute are our harmonies and voices though? We could be a group right? Or would you like to see us do a duet?

Here's the latest video of The Skorpion Show, this video was posted Saturday morning (Jan.12th) and if you haven't watched it over the weekend well here's your chance to catch up. This video is one of my favorites because the two talk about Beyonce and Destiny's Child (my favorite artist and music group). The both of them went IN when they talked about Beyonce's upcoming HBO Documentary Special as well as Destiny's Child new single "Nuclear" and the rumors of them performing it at this years Superbowl Halftime Show. 

They didn't go IN AND LET HAVE in a negative way, but as always truthfully and speaking on behalf of the fans. Other topics the two touch on is the hand written statement feud between Sharon and Kelly Osbourne against Lady Gaga and some interesting SEX TALK (whispering, we got to ease drop on). Throwback Thursday: Me & Britany's First USTREAM

I don't know how many laughs and jokes i'm going to get out of people watching this. I remember my BFF Britany and myself being so bored, we decided to go on USTREAM and connect with the world (since we both don't have any friends). When we decided to do the USTREAM we didn't care how we looked or had any clue what we will be talking about. This video seemed so long ago about 4 yrs old but it was just recorded March 15th of 2011.  I don't know what we talked about but we did have some viewers and the small group of friends we shared (TAMMY, DJ SHY, LEI & DIO) joined in on our conversations as we reminisced just about everything. 

I'm so thankful for the internet and how advanced technology has become. Just knowing we could record a video years ago and still have access to it just makes me happy; I cherish each and every moment I spend with Britany (well, she's my BFF) and the times we're together you just don't know what will come out of our mouths. She'll probably kill me for posting the video but hey this is a laugh we ought to look back on many many many years from now.

I hope we get to do more; though I'll try to USTREAM more often, maybe I'll start every Friday to sum up my week of posts...STAY TUNED!

Solange 'TRUE' EP + Performances

Currently I'm obsessed with Solange Knowles latest piece of work which is her EP TRUE which she released November of 2012. The EP's leading single "Losing You" had a music video which I blogged highly about, if you'd like to read the feature of "Losing You" Click Here. TRUE, is a seven song EP surround love and its ups and downs and was written and produced by Solange herself and collaborator Dev Hynes. This would be Solange's 3rd musical project and hopefully releasing a 3rd album in the coming year. 

The sound for TRUE would be described as late 80s early 90s. I love how Solange always finds a way to reinvent herself instead of sticking to the same material. Solange's last album Sol-Angel & The Hadley St. Dreams was inspired by the 60s sounds and image; clearly TRUE was birthed by Solange's latest infatuation with melodic soothing vibes of the 80s and 90s. This is a true breather to take if you want to get away from the music that's currently rotating on radio air waves surrounding auto-tune and electro-pop. You'd be one helluva fool to say Solange isn't a brilliant songwriter, every song on TRUE was written based on events in Solange's life.

My favorite cuts on the EP are "Losing You", "Some Things Never Seem To Fucking Work", "Lovers In The Parking Lot" and "Don't Let Me Down"; basically that's most of the EP. Solange is her own artist and i've always loved and admired her work, because Solange totally takes total control on the image and sound of her work as well as being hands on in everything, she's not just a signed artist doing what a label tells her to do. 

In promotion of TRUE, Solange is now on tour performing the EP in small venues for big crowds. A recent stop in New York City this past December (2012) seemed to be a fan favorite because video footage of some of the performances circled the internet like crazy. I'd love to share them with you, so you too can see how ICONIC Solange has become in style and performing. 

Assigned Sex - Ep. 1: Ring The Alarm [Video]

A friend of mine by the name of Shaun Dawson (cinematographer) came up with a brilliant idea to film the lives of some transgender people living in the New York City area. As a reality web~series 'Assigned Sex' focusing around the lives of five transgender male to female and female to male individuals as they cope with living in their new bodies and how others treat them on the job, in the community, with their family and complications they face health wise.

Chose to take on this project because of following facts listed in the video such as:

The LGBT community are the individuals who have it hard living in a world where hatred is looked upon them. The LGBT community are regular human beings just like everyone else whom are heterosexual; they shed tears, bleed, show emotions, have fears and etc. like we all are meant to do. Most people in the world have a hard time accepting the LGBT community because of religious purposes or how they were raised to look upon someone who is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Transgender. 

Assigned Sex cast members include Kyrie, Angel, LaLa, Jay'Lin and L whom of which you will get to know their personal stories, hear their fears, successes and why they chose to become transgender. All cast members in this web~series are the most beautiful braved group of individuals i've ever seen. Just by stepping forth and telling their compelling heart felt stories. I applaud them with great admiration and that their story will inspire other transgender individuals to come out and spread awareness that we are all the same no matter what!

New Music: Sevyn Streeter "I Like It" [Video]

I guess it's every man for themselves in the music industry nowadays. You may familiarize new solo artist Sevyn Streeter from the girl group RichGirl who countlessly many times tried their luck making it big in the industry but things didn't quite work out. RichGirl was a phenomenal RnB girl group who dominated radio waves and clubs with their hit single "He Ain't Wit Me Now (Tho)". Unfortunately, the America just wasn't ready for a girl group, so the group disbanded. 

Sevyn Streeter, whom you may have heard her vocals pended on a few of Chris Brown's songs most popular "She Ain't You", started being the protege of Chris Brown as he took her under his wing successfully leading to a solo record deal with Atlantic Records under Chris Brown's label CBE (Chris Brown Entertainment). "I Like It" happens to be the debut single from Sevyn Streeter. 

I love RichGirl as a group and didn't think each member would be successful as a solo artist, but Sevyn is proving that she will not fall in that category as a solo artist. In the video Sevyn's serving me Janet Jackson with Aaliyah tease; I'm loving her individuality and that voice holds a strong spot in the music industry. GOOD LUCK SEVYN!

Gossip Girl Obsession: Season 6 Episode 1-3

I'm seriously mad that this will be the last season of CW's hit show Gossip Girl. I've been watching ever since season one and their ending the show on their sixth season with only ten exclusive episodes. 

Season six started on October 8th and so far I have missed the first three episodes due to my Monday nights being occupied by late night work study at school. I wish I could watch online while it premieres but by that time, i'm already en route home. So far I caught up with episode one and I fell in love immediately with the plot.

My favorite characters are bffs Serena (played by Blake Lively) and Blair (played by Leighton Meester), of course I would describe myself more of a Serena than Blair. You would have thought i'd be Gossip Girl because i'm a blogger; that's not the case i'm not a gossip writer. 

I'm not going to tell you what the show is about if you haven't watched, sorry to say but you are def six seasons too late (you can catch up by buying the season dvds). However, if you are a fan of Gossip Girl and miss episodes to as well, I will post the three episodes after the jump so you can watch with me and comment in the comments section.
