Last night was the 2014 Soul Train Awards hosted by Wendy Williams. The show was a star studded event from performances from Chris Brown, Tinashe, Kem, Ledisi, Stephanie Mills, Tamar Braxton, Tank, Elle Varner, Missy Elliot, Lil' Kim, MC Lyte, Mase, Doug E. Wendy Williams was alright as a host though she didn't put on her controversial persona but yet simply cute and entertaining talk show host persona. No drama was necessary for a night like that. Triple threat Chris Brown opened the show taking us back to his early hits and ending it with his current hits. You would have thought he was headlining for the Superbowl. Chris Brown still has it vocals and dance moves and all.

The 'WANNABE' Braxton is about to hit us hard in the next weeks to come. Traci Braxton of 'Braxton Family Values' is finally releasing her debut album 'Crash & Burn'. For three seasons we've seen Traci complain about being in the shadows of her sisters Toni, Towanda, Trina and Tamar Braxton as they all had a piece of the music industry. Patiently Traci awaited her time and the time is now! 

On October 7th, Traci Braxton will release her LP 'Crash & Burn' for the world to hear. The LP's leading RnB single "Last Call" has already been on heavy rotation on the airwaves and the music video is just as beautiful as the song sounds. I'm so proud of Traci Braxton and I can't wait to hear the LP in it's entirety. The LP comes as a shocker because no one really ever though Traci would go forth with releasing an album.

SHE DID IT AGAIN!!! Tamar Braxton has executed with another beautiful music video for her follow up video to her #1 hit with last years "Love And War". The video for Tamar's second single off of her awaited sophomore album 'Love and War' "The One" shows a beautiful glowing Tamar as she prances around a carnival with her love interest. 

The video is so giving me Mariah Carey "Fantasy" mixed with Jessica Simpson's "I Think I'm In Love With You" clash tease (In An AWESOME Way). I can't help but love how happy Tamar looks in the video and how pregnant she is in the video, she still can get down. The video directed by Gil Green shows how beautiful a woman  pregnant can be and still have fun.

Already mom Jessica Simpson and mothers to be Tamar Braxton and Kim Kardashian have been spotted out and about looking as if maternal pregnancy is as easy as 1-2-3!!! Well for them it is because they have the coins, but I've never seen maternal fashion so HAUTE in my life!!! And to add these starlets are wearing 6 inch heels. 

I guess after Beyoncé's fashionable pregnancy the maternal fashion has evolved and got totally TURNED UP!!! Whoever is dressing these moms to be, I'm loving it. The three gorgeous women all look beautiful as they boast their new glowing looks. I can't believe how effortless they make their ensembles look, I mean it's tough when pregnant because you have to adjust to weight gain and what fits comfortably on your body.

Well remember last December during the last two episodes of Tamar and Vince, 'SHE'(Tamar Braxton that is) was gearing up for her showcase performance, but only aired her new hit #1 single "Love and War" and pop dance tune "Hot Sugar" performances? Well somehow the full showcase has linked on YouTube and i'm here to share it with you. 

In this full showcase, Tamar performs new tracks off her long awaited sophomore album such as "Watching Me" a nice melodic mid-tempo RnB tune, her rumored second single "All I Need Is You" a soon to be spring/summer anthem which features a sample of Biggie Smalls's "Juicy", the incredible ballad "Love and War" and ends the showcase with a #Tamartian favorite "Hot Sugar". Tamar sounds ICONICALLY beautiful on all of the songs and you can DEF tell she and husbanger Vince Herbert have taken their time in creating a sound that is all TAMAR!

Are The Braxton's Way More Popular Than The Kardashians?

THOSE BRAXTONS HAS US WRAPPED AROUND OUR FINGERS!!!

Though both shows are on two totally opposite cable network stations Braxton Family Vaules (WEtv) and Keeping Up With The Kardashians (E!), people just can't seem to get enough of the reality TV families. The Kardashian sisters Kourtney, Kim and Khloe all bring in ratings with their over the top high profiled drama while songstresses Toni, Traci, Towanda, Trina and Tamar brings drama, love, laughter and humility as each sister tries to differentiate themselves from just being labeled Toni Braxton's sister. 

The shows are the number one most watched shows on their network pulling in millions of viewers each week as a new episode airs. Keeping Up With The Kardashians is now on its 8th season while Braxton Family Values is gearing up to gives us their third season airing March 14th. Spin-offs have been created from both shows like we have had Kourtney & Khloe: Take Miami (seasons 1 and 2), Khloe & Lamar, Kourtney and Kim: Take New York (seasons 1 and 2) and Kourtney and Kim: Take Miami which are all doing tremendously well and on the Braxton side of things, the breakout star, Tamar and her multi-millionaire husband, manager and record executive Vincent Herbert have got their spin off Tamar and Vince which have brought in a whopping 2 million viewers last year.

Braxton Family Values just might be the new hit reality TV family to be because WEtv has ordered 24 hour long episodes for the third season which is way more than the Kardashians had their third season (12 episodes). The Kardashian empire is greater of the Braxton's but the numbers show and they do not lie, people are more drawn to the Braxtons more than anything. I love and enjoy both shows and families but I could relate to the Braxtons more than I could of the Kardashians. There never seems to be anything fishy when it comes to the Braxtons, they let the cat out of the bag as to when you hear the Kardashians strip down to 100, we're left thinking is this a publicity stunt or is this for fake?!

Throwback Friday - Tamar Braxton "If You Don't Wanna Love Me"

This is for all the new and old #Tamartians out there!!!

With all the new promo going around for Tamar Braxton, I thought it be great to take a stroll down memory lane and pull up one of my favorite Tamar Braxton songs when she first went solo back in 2000. Her ballad "If You Don't Wanna Love Me" is and will always be one of my top favorite songs. 

I'm not too fond of the video merely because the minks and all white outfit she had wore in the video was an atrocity (Sorry Tamar LOVE YOU). However, this solo era turned out to be a flop, but Tamar is back and better than before. I mean it wouldn't be a throwback if I didn't bring back this video right? Tamar was a baby then, she knows better now lol.

The video we've all been waiting for since last year is finally here!!! Tamar Braxton premiered the video for her single "Love and War" off of her sophomore album as well titled Love and War yesterday  on BET's 106 and Park. The video directed by Walid Azami couldn't have been more beautiful in capturing Tamar at her precious moments lip syncing to the beautiful ballad. 

The video as a whole is black and white themed and while some argue that Tamar was either stealing or paying homage to Mariah Carey, I'd have to disagree. Tamar was her own person in her own music video telling a story and what better way to tell a story than a classic black and white effect?!

Elisha Ward - Love and War (Tamar Braxton Music Video Cover)

I've been watching a lot of videos on YouTube recently and I came across this incredible young woman who decided to take on the challenging Tamar Braxton song "Love and War" but not only did she do her cover of the song but also made a music video for her version which absolutely blew my mind. I mean the greatest talent now a days are found on YouTube and not only are inspiring singers are just uploading covers of them singing their favorite song but they are taking five steps up and even creating music videos for their covers, talk about having the X-FACTOR! 

I really LOVE Elisha Ward's cover of "Love and War" and her music video for it. The concept of the video was just compelling and caused a tear or two to shed from my eyes. Elisha is such a beautiful curvy woman and I loved how she put pieces of clothing together to create an outfit that showed off her curves as well as made her look chic and runway ready! I'm so obsessed with this music video, just everything from the background band, to her strong unique voice, this woman has ought to be signed ASAP!

RAP-UP TV got the chance to go behind the scenes on Tamar Braxton's iTunes #1 single "Love and War" video shoot and they got an exclusive chit-chat with the Braxton family breakout star on the concept of the video, the support from her sisters and the direction of her long awaited sophomore album which is set to hit shelves February 13th. 

Tamar and Vince - Monday & Friday (Theme Song)

America's favorite reality tv couple Vince and Tamar Braxton-Herbert have finally released the full audio of their hit reality tv show 'Tamar and Vince' theme song "Monday and Friday". The theme song is only played short throughout the the intro, back from commercial and ending of the episodes. 

"Monday and Friday" tells the back and forth typical love/hate relationship between two people, wanting to strangle one another like we all want to do Monday, but then again back to loving your significant other like we do on Friday. Both Vince and Tamar lend their vocals on the song. This song is very sweet, catchy and the perfect way to describe Tamar and Vince's relationship (from what we see on tv).

Finally after months of waiting, Tamar has announced the name of her first single titled "Love & War", but sadly the release date for the single has been pushed back by her recording industry mogul husband Vincent Herbert. On the bright side, during an ABC News Radio conference to promote their new reality spin off show Tamar & Vince premiering this Thursday on WETv at 10pm; Tamar sang her new single acapella as a teaser.

On a promo tour for WETv's new reality series starring Braxton Family Values breakout star Tamar Braxton and her millionaire mogul husband Vince Herbert, Tamar & Vince premiering this coming Thursday at 10pm on WETv. Tamar Braxton played co-host to Anderson Cooper on his show Anderson Live yesterday and the outspoken singer/reality starlet kind heartedly had some truthful words to say about Nicki Minaj's wild neon hair which she called "ATROCITY" and a Twitter question from a fan who asked whether she was wearing a wig or weave.

BET Awards 2012 Highlights

I may be late with the BET Awards 2012 Highlights but better late than never.  Let me just start off by saying this was the best BET Awards ever in a long time! I haven't screamed and shouted at an award show since I don't know when. BET didn't upset me Sunday night. Here are my favorite highlights from the show: 

First and foremost can we discuss how RICH the front row was? The camera man was giving tv moments to The Throne who include Jay-Z, Kanye West, Beyonce and new to the crew Kim Kardashian. I was ecstatic to see the four of them along with Solange Knowles and her boyfriend video director Alan Ferguson (who won a BET Award with Beyonce for "Party" in the Director of the Year category). I love this pair of power couple and finally blogs and haters can drop the rumors of Beyonce hating Kim Kardashian; the two are very good acquainted friends. 

Of course I loved the opening performance by G.O.O.D artists Kanye West, Pusha T and Big Sean along with 2 Chainz as they performed the smash radio hit "MERCY". Kanye West towards the end of the performance did an impromptu freestyle. 

 It was a BIG night for THE THRONE as they won an award for Best Duo/Group! I enjoyed Jay-Z making fun of Kanye West by interrupting Kanye as he was citing his thank you speech like Kanye did at 2010's MTV VMA's when he interrupted Taylor Swift. 

Seeing some of the Destiny's Child members in the theater was a BIG highlight. LeToya Luckett and Michelle Williams were each others dates as they hit the red carpet and also sat next to each other. Michelle's dress did it for the occasion, as though LeToya was giving me a wrapped yellow mummy tease. 

Breakout star of the Braxton Family Values, Tamar Braxton who co-hosted the Pre-Show looked very fab in her dress. Her makeup and hair was ON POINT! Tamar is definitely stepping into her own lately, WATCH OUT! ... Now Where's That Long Awaited Album?!! 

 Newly RnB group TTG (Tank, Tyrese and Ginuwine) graced the red-carpet having women throwing their panties towards their tv screens. The three men were Eye Candy throughout the night. 

 Tamia who will always remain beautiful won fans best dressed on the red carpet. Check out her new single "Beautiful Surprise" on iTunes now! 

TV Personality/Host/Actress LaLa Anthony looked phenomenal in her comfortable summer time jumpsuit looking like a Hispanic Princess Jasmine. Go Head LaLa! 

Gawwwwwhhhh if only Boris Kodjoe was single and attracted to me! Boris Kodjoe was another spotted Eye Candy throughout the night. 

Nicki Minaj who performed "Champion" and "Beez In The Trap" of her sophomore album Pink Friday:Roman Reloaded; finally acted sane on stage along with rapper 2 Chainz. My mother was obsessed with her eyes all night!!! Nicki Minaj your eyes were popping and I loved your performance! Is that all of your cakes though?! 

Melanie Fiona reminded us how GOOD RnB music is as she beautifully belted out her hit single "Wrong Side Of A Love Song". The song is off her highly anticipated amazing sophomore album The MF Life out in stores! AMAZING ARTIST! I think Adele and Melanie Fiona should go on tour together! 

Keri Washington who looked shockingly drop dead gorgeous to me for the first time stunned my whole body in her ensemble. Her makeup and hair was simply flawless; gosh that small frame gets all the roles!!! 

BET Lifetime Achievement Award recipients Frankie Beverly and Maze reminded us why old skool music will NEVER go out of style. 

 The Whitney Houston Tribute performed by Monica, Brandy, Chaka Khan and Cissy Houston made the whole world shed more than just a few tears. 

New Music: Trina Braxton "Party Or Go Home"

Over the past weekend, hit reality star and former background singer Trina Braxton released her debut pop single entitled "Party Or Go Home". If you haven't been following Trina and her sisters WEtv reality show Braxton Family Values, then you should know the young sister of legendary multi-Grammy award winning entertainer Toni Braxton has been trying to come out on her own as a solo artist and out the shadows of being Toni's background singer. "Party Or Go Home" was performed by Trina Braxton and her band on the last episode of season 2 which premiered last Thursday night. This single can either make or break Trina Braxton's solo career.

"Party Or Go Home" is a fun pop dance track in which Trina sings about having a damn good time stress and drama free and she states to the person who stays up against the wall all night to go home if he/she wasn't going to have a fun time. This is def a track to listen to on your way to the club or a party. Trina Braxton will release an EP via iTunes sometime this year. Straying away from the RnB style of music like her other sisters Toni and Tamar Braxton, I think the pop route may be suitable for Trina Braxton. The Skorpion Show: Kobe & Vanessa To Divorce, Tamar & Vince New Show, Real Housewives Of Atlanta & More

Due to finals I've been neglecting one of my favorite YouTube shows for like 3 episodes. I know The Skorpion Show fans are going to kill me, who come on my blog just to watch the new episodes, I'M SO SORRY!!! Well finals are over and I have time to keep you updated on the new episodes YAY!!! I have to catch up asap! Maybe i'll do it tonight. Here's the latest episode of The Skorpion Show which was recorded last night. I haven't watched the video yet, so by the time this posts i'll be watching with you in my room. So far the title for the video looks juicy! I'm sad about Kobe & Vanessa's divorce, I can't wait to hear about Tamar and Vince's new show and the funny jokes about The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
