Last night was the 2014 Soul Train Awards hosted by Wendy Williams. The show was a star studded event from performances from Chris Brown, Tinashe, Kem, Ledisi, Stephanie Mills, Tamar Braxton, Tank, Elle Varner, Missy Elliot, Lil' Kim, MC Lyte, Mase, Doug E. Fresh and more with a big tribute to the honorees of the evening Cool & The Gang. Instead of recapping the highlights and you want to see the winners of the evening click here.

Wendy Williams was alright as a host though she didn't put on her controversial persona but yet simply cute and entertaining talk show host persona. No drama was necessary for a night like that. Triple threat Chris Brown opened the show taking us back to his early hits and ending it with his current hits. You would have thought he was headlining for the Superbowl. Chris Brown still has it vocals and dance moves and all.

There were many memorable moments including a surprise performance from Stephanie Mills who sang her classic "Home" from 'The Wiz' movie.

Newbie singer Tinashe had to get the crowded pumped up with her hits "Pretend" and "2On".

The Soul Train Awards wouldn't be soul if they didn't surprising bring back together R&B sensation, Jodeci as they performed their old classic hits as well their new song in 20 years featuring B.O.B

The Phantom Of The Opera opening by Wendy Williams and Boris Kodjoe which was so theatrical.

The amazing tribute to Cool & The Gang with performances by Tank, Elle Varner, Tamar Braxton, Justine Skye, MC Lyte, Doug E. Fresh, Liv Warfield, Tessanne Chin and Mase performing their classic hits such as "Feels So Good", "Summertime", "Too Hot" and more. Take a look at the phenomenal performance.

A "Ladies Performance" night with Missy Elliot, Left EyeLil' Kim. and Total Take a look at the ladies anthem made all around the world.
