Assigned Sex - Ep. 4: Just Passing By [Video]

Do You Know Anyone Who Is Transgendered Or Thinking About Becoming Transgendered?

As we get deeper and deeper in episodes of Shaun Dawson's documentary webseries 'The Making of Assigned Sex', we're beginning to see each personality open up and become more candid more than ever. Episode 3 touched on 'The Lonely "T" In LGBT' which the cast talked about the Transgendered community who are most often outcasted from the Lesbian and Gay world as well as those who are Straight (Heterosexual). 

In episode 4 'Just Passing By', the cast (Jay'Lin, L, LaLa, Angel and Kyrie) talk to Shaun Dawnson about the medical side of becoming transgender. It's not easy becoming another gender, there are a few procedures; surgical and non surgical a person has to go through. In the episode we learn some transgenders use pills, needles and patches to either obtain testosterone or estrogen. We also learn when transitioning from gender, the person must seek guidance and help (therapy sessions) to make sure the person becoming transgender is comfortable with their life made decision. 

I won't be giving you detail by detail on what goes on in the episode, you will have to watch and observe for yourself. Understand this is a serious matter and no one is to practice transgender procedures without seeking medical attention/help. In episode 4 we learn, which I didn't know is that some of the changes the pills, needles and patches causes and effects of what takes place throughout and within the human body.

Yesterday, Beyonce hinted us all that something big was happening and well today that something big turned out to be the new PEPSI commercial featuring Beyonce which featured a rumored new single snippet for her upcoming rumored fifth album titled 'Mrs. Carter'. 

In the entertaining minute commercial, Beyonce is seem in a dance studio where she's practicing choreography where she then takes a break to grab a can of PEPSI; after she's finished quenching her thirst Beyonce comes face to face with her past.

Finding OWN: Madea Meets Sophia

They Finally Meet...

Earlier today Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey have released a teaser video for an upcoming two night spectacular May 28th and 29th titled 'Madea Meets Sofia'. For as long as I can remember Madea (played by the ICONIC Tyler Perry) has been mimicking 'The Color Purple' most memorable character Sophia (Oprah Winfrey), quoting some of Sophia famous lines from the 1985 film. 

 In the promotional video Madea drives down a dusty road where she see's Sophia walking up the road to a house, where Madea stops Sophia and asks where can she find OWN (Oprah Winfrey's cable network channel). Sophia then precedes to quote her famous lines but changing them up a bit poking fun at the fluctuating ratings OWN has been known for...

I don't want to give you too much, you'll just have to watch the hilarious video that will have you in tears.

New Mixtape: Dezzy Breezy 'Deadman Wonderland'

My friend Dezzy just released his long awaited rap mixtape titled 'Deadman Wonderland'. The mixtape features my favorite "Type Of Party", I don't know if you remember but I did a blog post on the single a while back. Dezzy has began his rounds of rapping, trying to break into the scene. It's not that easy to just put a production of music together and releasing it out to the public for the whole world to hear. 

If you're one who loves listening to unsigned artists and new music then I suggest you take a listen to Dezzy's mixtape 'Deadman Wonderland'. Now this is a totally different rap mixtape from any other mixtape you've ever heard. There are your party type songs and then there are songs that will have you thinking "WHAT THE HELL!" but rest assure Dezzy is one talented young man.
