Throwback Thursday: BeBe's Kids

Who remembers the Robin Harris 1992 cartoon comedy starring comedian Faizon Love, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Marques Houston, John Witherspoon, Wayne Collins Jr. and other funny timeless actors where a single man meets a beautiful mother of one, decides to take her out on a date and the day of realizes he has to deal with her best friends three bad ghetto kids?!  Talk about a bachelor's worst nightmare, this movie was my favorite growing up only because my blended family could relate to it, except we weren't ghetto like these kids were. This movie will always be a favorite of mine and I think you all will love it as much as I do. For today's Throwback Thursday I'll be sharing the movie with you...simply because this is a major THROWBACK!!!

I don't think he does it just to be funny, i'm pretty sure he just says whatever is on her mind and it comes out funny. 

Earlier this week he went ham on the Willy Wonka Instagram text photos, I couldn't stop laughing and just shaking my head. Craziest Pet Names!!!

Now there are people in the world who give their pets simple and normal names listed above in the picture. But overtime name a pet has gotten totally funny and extreme. Like for instance recording artist Pink named her male dog FUCKER and I've came across people who will remain disclosed who named their dogs Pussy and Bitch. 

Yes, it's true these names are crazy and weird but people love it. I get a kick out of pets who are named after Presidents, Princes, Princesses, Kings, Queens, royal leaders, world leaders and shockingly after their school principals. I named my female Shih-Tzu Tokyo Milan Watson, which is a regular name. Tokyo's not a common name for a dog but the reason why I named her Tokyo is a long story and actually has an understanding. What are some of the craziest pet names you've ever heard? Oh' I remember my cousin naming her cat Fluffy Jack, I just thought that was cray cray.  

Kim Kardashian Bares KAKES! [UPDATE]

Twitter went into a hoopla frenzy late last night when allegedly Kanye West "accidentally" tweeted a picture of his reality tv star mogul girlfriend Kim K, of what it seems to be of her eating a piece of CAKE while she bares her real KAKES! 

Now, I love the Kardashians and Kim (having seen her in person in 2008), but this picture being "accidentally" tweeted can not do much harm to her. Remember back in 2007 when the release of her sex tape with Ray J hit markets and then in 2008 she did a spread for PlayBoy and there has been numerous times she's done tasteful photo-shoots for different magazines and such. Kim can't get mad or angry, we all have seen her body naked! This picture is not that bad actually, I mean it's always questionable to why Kim is naked in her hotel room eating without at least putting a robe on, but that's her choice and hey if I had that body i'd be strolling around my hotel room naked too! Though this picture may hurt and confuse much of her younger fans and her business's she has or will have in the future or in the past. I just wish this incident doesn't do much harm. 

On the bright side, I feel this picture isn't that bad. It's a beautiful picture. The body is a form of art and Kim K has one of the best celebrity bodies out now. Her curvy figure is toned and the arch in her back is incredibly hard to work for. Her small waist is what most girls all wish for, but she looks healthy and beautiful here. Kim's giving us much but just enough to she really does work on her body and feels comfortable in her skin to show it off. I can't wait to read and hear what the media is going to say about this or what story they'll make up. This picture is so not relevant to the extreme that she's naked because we've seen her naked ideal body. The question is "allegedly" how did Kanye accidentally tweet this picture?! I hope this doesn't ruin their relationship or trust, I like the two as a couple.

Scratch what I just wrote!!! According to Kanye West's reps he is stating he did not post and delete the picture of what it appeared to be Kim Kardashian. Now the truth of this story is that the curvaceous beauty in the picture is porn star Amia Miley. Amia is the one who posted the picture on her Twitter timeline and went to delete the picture. Amia even went on to say clearly her wrist piercing is visible in the picture, so of course that's not Kim K. 

Meanwhile, these Kim Kardashian look-a-likes are giving me a headache. I'm just happy it isn't and Kayne didn't tweet the pic to be center of attention. Welp! Kim still has her positive image and Kanye probably hates us all for immediately thinking it was him; but we still love them as a couple...RIGHT?! 

New Music: Misha B. "Home Run"

UK's X-Factor breakout star Misha B. has just released her new fresh single titled "Home Run". Early this spring Misha B. released a mashup mixtape Why Hello World and played a snippet of the song. If you don't know who Misha B. is then you'd remember last year's X-Factor UK she was mentored by multi-platinum recording artist Kelly Rowland and the powerful bond they had together made Misha B. the talk of every performance igniting the stage week after week. Misha B. is not like any other artist, she does it all from rapping, singing  and dancing putting a few different twists and runs to her music. 

"Home Run" reminds me of a triple threat sound mix that comprises of a reggae, pop and rnb vibe. As soon as I heard Misha B.'s voice in the beginning of the song I immediately feel in love. This is definitely a summer smash single. Misha B. brought it with new single and she's making HOME RUNS in every city and country world wide. The single is available for grabs and download July 15th, but Misha B. was nice enough to post the song plus two remixes on her Soundcloud, check it out and let me know what you think.

Tasty Tuesday: Skinnygirl Daily Cleanse Berry Smoothie

For those who are on a strict diet this week like myself and need a fast cleanser why not try Bethenny Frankel's Skinnygirl Daily Cleanse Berry Smoothie. This smoothie is for the on the go girls who don't have time to sit and have breakfast or sometimes not enough momentum to grab a snack as Bethenny says. Well, this is at least what Bethenny says about the smoothie on her website. Berries couldn't have been the perfect choice to cleanse with. 

Everything here is safe and healthy to drink, trust me I wouldn't give you anything you could die from.. I think I need to make a gallon of this and just use it throughout the rest of the week. Beings though I already have a well balanced meal, I'm just using this to rush my water weight off of me.

Bethenny Frankel Daytime Talk Show

Bethenny Frankel is an on going engine who refuses to stop at the peak of her career. Bethenny just snagged the opportunity to get her own daytime talk show and the season premiere ran earlier today on FOX at 11am. Must I say Bethenny is my favorite reality tv household personalities. I've been a fan of hers since she was on The Real Housewives of New York and when she branched off doing her own spins Bethenny Getting Married and Bethenny Ever After on Bravo. The New York Times Best Selling Author and chef has a bright future coming out of reality tv. 

Her new show is NOTHING like the other shows on daytime television and as well as The Tyra Banks Show. Bethenny's talk show is no holds barred topics from sex, men, love, cooking, fashion, gossip, literally Bethenny talks about it all and shares her life with us just like she's been doing on reality tv for some years now. I think the reason why Bethenny has become such a household name is because from day 1 she has always been down to earth and real. What I also love about Bethenny is her sense of humor because it's like she'll say or do something and we all may think it's hilarious but at that moment she was really serious about what she said or what she did; Bethenny truly lives life to the fullest.

So Sad For Michael Hughley

Hollywood really isn't no joke when it comes to child stars, the industry can either steer you in the right or wrong road, most cases in child actors some turn out to be in worst scenarios like 90s child star Dee Jay Daniels. Daniels most notable for his four year role as D.L. Hughley's son Michael on the hit UPN9 sitcom The Hughley's has gotten himself into some deep trouble. Since August 2011, the 23 year old has been in San Joaquin County Jail without bail on three charges one more serious that may cause him a life sentence for premeditated murder. 

I really want to know what went wrong in his career, it seemed like he was on the right path but at the time in the late 90s early 2000's he was a child star and he didn't do much interviews discussing his private life, so we don't know what might have went on at home.

Weekend Recap 6/8 - 6/10

Basically this whole weekend, I thought about A LOT! There's something going on in my life right now that I'm contemplating on a lot of decisions I should make. This weekend was actually a "ME" weekend. I sat and spoke with my mother for a good chat which should be done often, but isn't because of busy schedules. If the good news comes, I HOPE to share it with you all, but for now I remain disclosed about the situation until I get accurate answers. This weekend was one of my weekends I stayed in the house and worried myself sort of. My  mind's in a n overwhelming state but with time God will make it better.

New Music: Teairra Mari "Lil Mama"

Check out the new single from producer Rico Love's Division1 recording artist Teairra Mari's new single "Lil Mama" from her upcoming mixtape Unfinished Business out July 4th! Teairra's no stranger when it comes to releasing mixtapes; she has shown that her mixtapes have been successful and stirred up some great buzz about when she will be releasing another album since her ROC-A-FELLA drop. Staying in the media circuit Teairra earlier this year released a club banger single featuring new coming rapper 2 Chainz titled "U Did That". 

I'm loving Teairra Mari's grind she's been on episodes of Love & Hip-Hop putting out music non stop! This Dolls second album relasing from Division1 Sex on the Beach, I know for sure will put her back on top. The way she sings vocals is seductive and captivating.

Favorite Product Right Now

Just checking in with you all giving you an update on my favorite product right now in my life. It's AMBI products for your face. I'm having a pretty rough time trying to cleanse and moisturize my face due to having an uneven skin tone and oily skin. My mother had the facial even tone cleanser in her bathroom, so I read the description and what works it does and why not steal (borrow) it for a bit. The AMBI company makes tons of  different products for the face no matter what skin problem you're having AMBI has the solution. 

My best friend even recommended it to me before I even knew my mother had it. So far I'm loving the product and of course I'm not going to see results in a day, I'm patiently waiting for that hot summer day when I can walk around without needing a cleansing wipe to pat down my face saying THANK YOU AMBI!

Congrats Tiffany Evans + New Single

Congrats to actress/singer Tiffany Evans on her two year marriage to husband Lorenzo and expecting her first child. The talented Tiffany Evans most notable for her hair raising voice and roll in Tyler Perry's Diary of a Mad Black Woman stepped out and made the announcement last week. Who knew the young diva got married?! She kept things under wraps and so quietly, I'm pretty sure she will be the best mom ever!!! Congrats Doll xoxo

Along with the loving news, Tiffany released a new single titled "If You Love Me" which is a soft ballad and she is definitely singing the hell out of it. Her voice never goes unnoticed and this song I believe will be another one of her all time favorite ballads. Tiffany Evans's career should have been more than what it is now! Hopefully there won't be any petty silly drama like the first two seasons of Love & HipHop featuring Crissy Lampkin, Olivia, Yandy Smith, Jim Jones, Kimbella and oh' you know how that all went down. I'm a fan of the show and hope to really see the true meaning of Love & HipHop and the message their trying to convey. I can't wait to see how the ladies do it up in the A than the girls in the north east coast. This show is the number one summer show for me to watch!

Where is Nivea?! Remember she was on the reign in 2003 and previous years when she was heard on the tracks of some of the hottest rappers that were out such as Lil' Wayne and Mystikal? I recently dug into a box of old things and I came across her debut album. One of my favorites off of the album was her hit single "Don't Mess With My Man" which featured Brian from the RnB group Jagged Edge. Summer Plans???

So i'm sitting here wondering what am I doing this summer after I complete my two summer courses. I have no plans on doing anything big whether its going out of state or the country to say the least. I want to start having my own summer getaway traditions though. I need a BIG break from everything and clear my mind. What are some of the fun and exciting things you all have planned for the summer? Maybe you can invite me to come along or we can throw something together :-)! (btw this is a bad picture of me)

I'm more than 100% sure this book will help not just students but everyone who is struggling with life at some point of their lives. In the back of mind somewhere I've always pictured Alfred writing a book or memoir, only because this young intelligent man always had encouraging and positive things to say to me. I'm pretty glad he did write this book, not only he can share his wisdom with the likes of others in his neighborhood and surrounding areas, but he can now share some of his insights and experiences with the world. I can't wait to get my hands on the book so I can read it. I hope to find bits and pieces of the book that will help me out along the way. If you aren't doing anything this summer, I suggest you pick up a book (preferably Al's The Students Handbook To Breaking All The Rules) and read it.

Living Out Of The Norm (Craziest Thing You've Ever Done)

Everyone has got to have a crazy moment in their lives. I  know for me, I've done so many crazy ridiculous things I don't even know where to start. Growing up as a child, I remember having a infatuation with wizards, witches and magic. I guess my love for magic came from Disney movies and TV shows such as Bewitched and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I did have a normal childhood, I just experienced a bit of too much fiction. 

One crazy thing I did during  my witchcraft era, was creating potions using the bathroom sink. Here's what I used to do, I don't think my mother knows or anyone else of that matter; I used to push the sink stomper down so that it could hold water, take baby power, lotion and liquid soap. As i'm gathering the products, I begin to fill the sink up with hot steamy water and begin to pour some of each ingredient into the water. As the humidity from the hot water begins to take over the whole bathroom, I would use my toothbrush and stir the mixture together and sing the song from The Little Mermaid where the evil octopus Ursula made her potion to make Ariel talk. By doing so, I clearly was creating any potion/spell possible to man. 

Now I did this on every occasion I went to the bathroom or was about to take a shower. I never got caught or thought I did, but I thought it was the most fun I've ever had with water, baby power, lotion and liquid soap. What was it doing for me at the time? I have yet answered that question, but you couldn't tell me I wasn't a warlock (male form of a witch). I think that's one of the craziest things I've ever done that was completely out of the norm. I laugh about it now while people think I'm simply insane, but it was something that occupied my time as a child. 

As I stated before everyone has got to have a crazy moment in their life when they did something totally out of the norm. Now i'm asking you, what is the craziest thing you have ever done without getting caught? 

My Prayers Are With The Medina Family & Loved Ones

Yesterday was such a sad and not so pleasant day for my two friends (twins) Isaul and Raul Medina. Their father passed away from a terrible bus accident. Words can't explain how terribly upset I feel for them. Though, my father hasn't been in my life for 23 years, my mother has stepped up in his place and I don't know what I would do if I were to lose my mother. My prayers and condolences goes out to the Medina family and loved ones at this devastating time in their lives. 

I'm 100% their father was a very smart, respectful and loved man, I didn't meet him myself but you can tell in the way he raised his sons Isaul and Raul. Their hearts mean well and i'm pretty sure his did too. God always has a plan for everything that we don't have control over, but now he is in Heaven with the rest of our fallen angels and now he can be the guardian and protector over his family in keeping them out of harms way. Stay up and stay blessed for you are safe now until the end of time.

New Video - Luke James "Mo'Better Blues"

Back with another heart soul warming video by RnB newcomer Luke James the soothing singer brings to us "Mo'Better Blues". With the much immense buzz Luke James has been getting since his first single "I Want You" and recently being chosen by Beyonce herself as her opening act for her past Memorial Day weekend concerts down in Atlantic City, Luke James is coming into the game with a new sound and proving RnB hasn't died. 

In this steamy video Luke along engage in a lot of sexual and sensual body to body contact and almost lip to lip kissing with his love interest who seems to look like a mix between Amerie and Zoe Zaldana. The videos visual is absolutely beautiful, I love a story that is being told through a dark blurred perspective; the videos blue-ish vibe reminds me of Kelly Rowland's "Motivation". I don't want to tell you what the song or video is about, it's up to you to figure it out. Although its hard to watch him and listen at the same time because your thoughts are somewhere running away with him in the nearest enclosed room. Oh' does it hurt to mention in a recent interview Luke James stated "HE LOVES SEX!" ...

Tasty Tuesday - American Flag Pull Apart Cupcakes

The summer is here and this means cookouts galore; especially the biggest one of the summer 4th of July. Being the cook that I am, I was browsing around Rachael Ray's website for some good recipes when I came across guest food blogger on her site by Christina Stanley Salerno. Christina introduced her cupcake creation of the American Flag with lots of frosting and tasty fruits such as blueberries and strawberries. This is the ultimate patriotic dessert I've ever seen I don't think I would want to even eat it; just leave it on my dining room table as decoration. This simple easy cupcake pull apart recipe is just like baking regular cupcakes with only adding two more additions which are the fruits. Nothing too intricate for a baker or non cooker :-).

INGREDIENTS

For the Cake:

• One box of store bought devils food cake mix, or your favorite devils food cake recipe

Icing and Decoration:

• 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
• 6 to 8 cups confectioners' sugar
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
• 1 pint strawberries
• 1 cup blueberries

PREPARATION

Instructions For The Cake:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line mini muffin tins with paper liners. Note: this recipe yields 48 mini cupcakes so you will need two 24-cup mini muffin tins or have to bake them in batches using whatever size mini muffin tins you have. 

Mix cake according to package/recipe instructions. Once batter comes together, fill each prepared muffin cup ¾ of the way full with batter. Bake cupcakes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 18-20 minutes. Cool on wire rack while you prepare the icing and fruit topping.

For The Icing/Decoration:

Dry berries thoroughly. It is important that they be super dry or else they will slide off of the cake.

Hull and slice strawberries in half, then cut the half’s into thin slices, this will be the “stripes” in the American flag. Gently blot the strawberries with paper towel to remove any excess juice from the berries.

In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream butter until smooth and creamy, 2 to 3 minutes. With mixer on low speed, add 6 cups of sugar, milk, and vanilla and mix until light and fluffy. If the icing is a little too soft, add in remaining 2 cups sugar to reach a stiff frosting.

Generously pipe icing onto each cupcake.  You want to be generous because when the cupcakes are sitting next to each other, extra icing will fill in the gaps and make the cake look more like a flag. Note: you can spread instead of pipe but piping always looks neater. Find a large rectangular platter, slightly bigger than you think you will need for 48 cupcakes and place each cupcake side by side touching each other, making six rows of 8 cupcakes.

Place the blueberries or “stars” in the upper left side corner of the cake, approximately, eight rows of eleven blueberries.  Then take your strawberries and set them on their side into rows to fill in the rest of the cake. Keep cake refrigerated until guests arrive because icing will melt if left out in the heat.

Hot 97 Funkmaster Flex & Nicki Minaj Summer Jam Phone Call [Audio]

Fans went in uproar when they heard their favorite female emcee Nicki Minaj got pulled out from performing at Hot 97's annual Summer Jam concert this past Sunday. Here's what happened, Nicki Minaj was the only female emcee to headline this years Summer Jam concert event along with some of her label mates of YMCMB (Young Money) just slight hours before the group were about to take stage, Hot 97's notable radio personality Peter Rosenberg made an offensive comment about Nicki Minaj and her music which got Lil Wayne fired up stating that he was pulling his group Young Money (including Nicki Minaj) from the show. The comment that was made towards Nicki Minaj was telling the Summer Jam crowd New York is all about real hip-hop music and not her pop stuff such as "Starships" and went on to tell the crowd he wasn't talking to them and then continued to skip the song for airplay saying not so good things. 

After the whole Summer Jam hoopla, there had been speculation Lauryn Hill was invited in order to take Nicki's spot [which she writes in a open letter, that wasn't true]. Fans were upset and others chimed their opinions and views all over Twitter Sunday night and Monday. Of course there were shots thrown Nicki's way and she threw shots back out on Twitter. Nicki recalls feeling disrespected as a woman and a guest who is asked to headline the annual summer concert. All in all, Nicki Minaj wanted to set the record straight on what happened and why she never performed, stating Lil Wayne who is her boss called the shots and she wasn't going to go against his word. Nicki Minaj called in to Hot 97 and got in a heated phone conversation with radio dj and personality Funkmaster Flex. The phone call got so heated, both couldn't contain their character being and often shouted above one another to get their point across.

New Music: Ciara "Sweat"

It's been quite a while since we heard from Atlantian singer Ciara. The last material Ciara left us with was her  fourth album Basic Instinct, which didn't go on to sell as much as she wanted it; mind you that was back December 2010/2011. The reason for Ciara's brief hiatus for not putting out music is due to her record label Jive Records releasing her as their artist. Believing in Ciara's hard drive and hunger in the entertainment industry, notable music mogul L.A. Reid decided to bring Ciara to his label Epic Records where he would continue to shape her future career into getting Ciara back on track. 

It was recent Instagram and TwitPics late last year Ciara posted stating she was in the studio working up something new for the fans and that they should stay tuned. Flash forward to now at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards, Ciara was interviewed on upcoming projects and excitedly Ciara shared there's a new single being released very soon [doesn't know how soon] and the title for her upcoming new album under Epic Records is titled One Woman Army. The leading single "Sweat" just released yesterday which is sooner than I thought it would be. The song features new rap artist 2 Chainz and the song sounds like she's taking a new approach to different beats and style of music; of course the song is a dance track. I picture the video for the song just like she did "Gimmie That". The song has to grow on me, it's cute for what it is so far.
