L&L : The Interview

The Long Awaited Interview Is Finally Here !!!

Remember back in March when a created a post about the rise of an up and coming fashion designer Lavan Lamar who creates "L&L"; an affordable urban-upscaled clothing line that provides the most dopest Tees, Sweatshirts and Hoodies. Some designs are original while others give off a distressed look. If you didn't catch the post about L&L then I highly suggest you click here.

I reached out to the head designer who is Lavan out of L&L (Lavan Lamar) and asked if it was alright if I could interview him. He responded to me humbly and it was a GO! Sadly due to our crazy schedules and chaotic timing we both couldn't be able to meet each other and film it, but I did send in some questions you readers might want to know as well as myself and he answered each and every one.

Relationships: Have You Ever Been Used? (Oh I Have)

DISCLAIMER: There is more to this story, i'm giving you an abridged version.

This past November, I met someone whom I thought had potential in being my significant other somewhere in the future. We met off of a dating website (which I refuse to promote, unless i'm getting paid) and our first encounter was about a week or two after conversing on the site. Immediately, once we met our personalities instantly became attracted to one another. From then on, I thought about living in the moment rather than rushing a relationship so soon; come to find out the other person was just about seeing how much he could get out of me.

I must admit, I do wear my heart on my sleeve (I'm an Aquarius its in our nature to be the utmost caring person we can be) and it sometimes gets me into sticky situations where I get played. With the person I was now getting to know "TALKING", we discussed what each of us wanted for Christmas as gift exchanged from one another. I mentioned something less than thirty bucks and my friend mentioned something over two hundred dollars.

Everything Relationships, Advice & More From @BethBomb

BethBombSpeaks
So now that Carrie Bradshaw (Sex and the City) is now married and living her life with her BIG, she has left the door open for other strong positive women to write columns surrounding love, relationships, being single and as well as living life and the understanding of certain situations. Like Carrie Bradshaw, my big sis @BethBomb(Bethany) has been through many challenging situations in her life in which she decided to share her experiences with everyone in hopes to learn from mistakes we tend to make in life.

BethBombSpeaks, is a blog to inspire hopefuls to figure out the WHYs and HOWs of life as well as giving advice and sharing stories with those who feel they need relationship guidance in life. Of course, Beth speaks for the ladies, some gentleman can get an inside scoop of how women think and feel in relationships or whether they are being single taking on the world.

I think I can get most of the credit for Beth starting this blog primarily because I would always turn to Beth for advice based on my harsh situations i've dealt with and as always in return giving me the best advice a friend can give (open and honestly). BETH DOESN'T SUGAR COAT ANYTHING!!!

If this is something you'd be interesting in being attached too or a regularly BethBomb Community reader, I highly suggest you tag along to BethBombSpeaks to gain informative insight on the women you intend to become in relationships as well as being single. It is said, the best advice comes from those who you don't know !!!

Fashion Catastrophe: Men's Sweater w/ Shawl Collar

Now I love men's sweaters, hoodies and cardigans, but the pieces with the shawl collar is a Fashion NO NO. I'm no Rachel Zoe or Christian Dior but I know what looks good and what doesn't appeal to me. I feel like collars belong on shirts not sweaters, unless you're doing the sweater/collard shirt ensemble then that's an exception. I really don't like the thick look to the neck and shoulders, especially on guys who are really broad and muscular even the lean and athletic guys. It just doesn't fit in, it looks like an old grandpa's top just sitting in the rocking chair. If you want to keep your neck and shoulders extra warm, why not wear a scarf? Isn't that what it's for besides making a fashion statement? I'm not too fond of the sweater shawl collar combination...ehhh what do you think?

Shampoo, What's The Difference Between Men & Women?

Okay is this some advertising psychology technique to get our money or what? I recently was taking a shower and proceeded to wash my hair, when I actually was reading the SUAVE men's shampoo details. Seriously, it does all the same functions as the female shampoos. Basically, in fact all of the same ingredients just a different scent. Now, I use any and all types of shampoo with conditioner included; hair is hair right?! Okay, I know there are different types of shampoo's for different textures of hair, but seriously a division between men and women? What's going on here? What's the difference besides the scent? I'm not just saying it'sjust the SUAVE brand, it's actually ALL. Maybe I need to google the answer before anything. I truly think its a psychology tactic to get us to spend money on the unneccessary. What do you think, did you really think about the issue? A part 2 of this blog post will soon be posted.

My Favorite Fashion Accessory: Forever 21 Men Necklaces

My favorite accessory that i've been collecting like a pyscho manic has to be the beautiful necklaces Forever 21 has for men. I kid you not, their designs for men are so metro-sexual and can complete any outfit. I have a few in different gold/silver colors; design also. I must say my favorite piece is the Harmonica necklace. It gives me a grungy New York rocker look. My other favorite pieces are the Robot type ones and the Crosses. But overall, you will catch me wearing the Harmonica designed ones. Forever 21 Men has a wide range of wonderful jewelry. Have you checked out their jewelry designs? What are some of your favorites?

My Percentage On Male Circumcision

A close friend of mine(won't say her name, but she's a doll) and I were talking yesterday on the subject matter of men and circumcision. Well, being as comfortable about sex and well you can quite call me experienced I've given her my percentile on men of different ethnicities and their their circumcised stance. I'm not saying this is accurate, but through my experience on talking to guys and asking questions I came up with this conclusion. If you think I'm correct let me know, if you think I'm incorrect please state your percentages. Here's the statement I made to my friend about men who are circumcised after the jump.
