Nothing's more fun than hanging with friends enjoying a nice meal. Last week, I had the honor of spending some time with one of my newest friends, Jamina West. I met Jamina very randomly at a bus stop in the town that I live and she introduced herself to me even adding she was new in town; moving from Georgia to New Jersey. Of course, I had to befriend this beautiful young woman and who would have thought we'd kick it off tremendously. 

I went to her house and made her cook din din for me (i'm such the ultimate fat person), with the limited options we had available at such short notice Jamina decided to make the most amazing and delicious Parmesan Chicken w/ mixed Wheat Noodles. With doing so the remainder of the night, I got to know Jamina much better on a personally level as well as experienced some of her many TALENTS! You all will be SHOCKED at what this girl can DO!

Our Friend, Martin [Movie]

In honor of MLK Day, I came across one of my favorite Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. historical movies. I remember always watching the movie in January on his birthday or his day such as today and Black History Month. This was a film that perfectly told the story of Dr. King and his significance in the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s. 

The movie is about an African-American boy who could care less about the importance of Dr. King's legacy and history, goes back in time where he comes face to face with segregation, the mal-treatment African-American's faced against racism, the unjust, the KKK (Klu Klux Klan) and the mal treatment between his friends. A very engaging cartoon movie that explains the Civil Rights Movement to young children much clearer. 

THANK GOD I found the movie on YouTube, now I can watch the movie back to back until I own the DVD so that I can show to my kids in the future; But for now I will show the film to my young nephews in hopes they understand the amazing brave story of Dr. King and understand how one man sacrificed his life everyday for a chance to become equal. The movie also features a star studded cast!!!

I just want to say THANK YOU Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.! THANK YOU for a dream that you envisioned knowing it would come true, just didn't know when it would come true. It was your bravery and perseverance that I can stand hand in hand side by side people outside of my color and race and not be judged or harassed. I wasn't born during your time of the Civil Rights Movement, but growing up in school I learned the importance of your journey and fight non stop every year but it is deep within my heart I understand why you did what you did. I LOVE YOU. THANK YOU. 

I Know you're smiling down how everyone of different creed and color are now coming together as brothers and sisters, now fighting for security from earth's harms. It is because of you, I am proud to say I have an African-American President and it is also because of you I can now VOTE and continue my education secondary and beyond. I am more than grateful to have my middle name named after you. I LaTroy Martin Watson, adore the man you have become here on earth and in heaven. Your legacy and significance to history will and can never be forgotten. THANK YOU for fighting hard for my future and beyond.

With all the new promo going around for Tamar Braxton, I thought it be great to take a stroll down memory lane and pull up one of my favorite Tamar Braxton songs when she first went solo back in 2000. Her ballad "If You Don't Wanna Love Me" is and will always be one of my top favorite songs. 

I'm not too fond of the video merely because the minks and all white outfit she had wore in the video was an atrocity (Sorry Tamar LOVE YOU). However, this solo era turned out to be a flop, but Tamar is back and better than before. I mean it wouldn't be a throwback if I didn't bring back this video right? Tamar was a baby then, she knows better now lol.

This particular promo run with David Letterman had everyone in tears when the littlest elder sister Kourtney, well gave a touching low blow (OKAY STATED A TRUE FACT) about her sister Kim's HUSBAND Kris Humphries.  

For as long as the Kardashians have been on our television screens, Kourtney has always let it be known she's not the Armenian to play with when it comes to someone in her family. You'll just have to watch the video ...

Kim Kardashian 'Set The Record Straight' Therapy Session With SWAY in the MORNING!

And the promo begins...this Sunday, Kardashian sisters Kourtney and Kim are back on our television screens not in New York but this time they're taking MIAMI. Kourtney and Kim Take Miami on E! will premiere this Sunday at 9pm est. and why not start their promoting rounds in New York, while they got to sit with radio jockey/host Sway for the SWAY in the MORNING radio show on SiriusXm to promote the new show and well Kim dishing it all out!!! 

The interview became a short therapy session for Kim, because if you don't know Kim is never vocal about her personal life except for what little we see on television. Sway got in to having Kim separating the facts from rumors and the touchy topic of Kim's two year divorce battle between current husband Kris Humphries other topics include the pregnancy with Kanye, Kris Jenner allegedly telling Kanye to take out a $10 million dollar insurance plan, even to the biggest internet buzz talk of Beyonce not liking Kim. Kourtney watched in "Awe" as she smiled because Kim had finally spoken up about the controversies she's had bottled up inside. 

Kim even went as far as to saying she would like people to say "Things Longer Than Kim's Marriage..." because LEGALLY she still is MARRIED, so I guess that joke never prevailed. This had to be one of Kim's very open interviews since she did Tyra back in 2007, when for the first time ever talking openly about the sex tape with rapper/singer Ray J. Oprah didn't pull as much as we all wanted to hear from Kim ... *side eye*

Tamar Braxton - "Love and War" Music Video

The video we've all been waiting for since last year is finally here!!! Tamar Braxton premiered the video for her single "Love and War" off of her sophomore album as well titled Love and War yesterday  on BET's 106 and Park. The video directed by Walid Azami couldn't have been more beautiful in capturing Tamar at her precious moments lip syncing to the beautiful ballad. 

The video as a whole is black and white themed and while some argue that Tamar was either stealing or paying homage to Mariah Carey, I'd have to disagree. Tamar was her own person in her own music video telling a story and what better way to tell a story than a classic black and white effect?!

Words can't explain how beautiful, talented and funny my friend Yami is. Just last year she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy and now she is blooming better than ever and to add her body is still slim and FAB! If you don't know Yami then you should know she is the true definition of ENTERTAINING, everything she says is amusing and will put a smile to your heart, she's not just funny but she's VERY SMART TOO!!! The girl has swag too, crazy SWAG! I love Yami's Instgram pics because she isn't just some regular person posting pictures just to post pictures, Yami actually takes remarkable and memorable photos that captivates every minute of her life, I'm so obsessed with her style though and the cute pictures of her beautifully spoiled adorable son Yahair. It's been long due since I've actually spoken to Yami heavy, but I hope to visit her soon before my spring semester gets hectic, maybe this weekend i'll visit her ;-)!

Assigned Sex - Ep. 2: Family Matters [Video]

Here's the second episode to one of the most fascinating webisodes on YouTube of 2013. If you haven't watched episode one then I suggest you click Assigned Sex - Ep. 1: Ring The Alarm. In episode 1 we were introduced to the transgender individuals, in episode 2 we are introduced to each cast members family and their take on the whole transgender situation. Pretty good to watch beings though now that the family is being brought to the camera to discuss their feelings. Some families agree with the situation and some families don't, you'll just have to watch for yourself and continue to keep up with the series.

After Monday nights episode as they introduced us to new characters those such as notorious blogger/radio personality Jen the Pen and long time rapper/ghostwriter in the game Consequence. Their on camera love you can tell is pretty much real, it's like their relationship balances off one another and they're receptive of one another's career. I hope the show actually focuses more on the two of them merely because HENCE the title of the show Love & Hip Hop; not Hip Hop and its hoes.

Oh' may I ask when did jumpoffs, ex-girlfriends and such become some famous?...Oh' AMBER ROSE TAUGHT EM' Huh? *SIGH*, it was announced Taylor Swift and short time boy-FRIEND One Direction's Harry Styles have parted ways. Now according to Wendy Williams, she has stated throughout the course of Taylor Swift's career she has been with about 14 guys in three years! Don't believe me then take a look for yourself:

Well, anyway if it is Taylor's 14th guy-FRIEND relationship in three years, then I think we need to intervene on Taylor Swift and stop this on and off Friend-Mance between these guys in the limelight. Like really Taylor, we love you for your breakup songs about guys, but honestly I think you're the one doing this to yourself. Do you love singing about bad boys breaking hearts or are you the one who's breaking hearts now? Hmm...Taylor I'm On You! 

Any who, I think its time for her fans and those expert in relationships to help Taylor strive for a LONG LASTING relationship. I know it's hard to date in the entertainment industry, but 14 guys in three years, break that down to about 3.5 each year in 12 months, I mean... I guess. Whatever the case is, here's what I think Taylor should do...

A Whole New ... 106 and Park

Since BET Network chose their new hosts for the future of their syndicated top music countdown show 106 and Park, the producers of the show decided not to just clean up the old hosts Rocsi and Terrence J but have decided to CLEAN HOUSE! Yesterday, 106 and Park changed their whole stage set which looks to be much bigger than the previous sets in the past. To be honest, I really LOVE this new set, because its spacious and it looks as if it's a game show stage kind of feel. I haven't been to 106 and Park since 2008 and I don't think I'm going back primarily I'm way too old to attend a taping of the show. Only way I'll be at 106 and Park is if i'm promoting a movie, reality show or releasing my album. 

Who knows what lies in the future for me and 106 and Park, I just know the new studio set is amazing but I'm still trying to get comfortable with the new hosts, for some reason I just can't take Bow Wow serious, I'm so used to him being on the couch for an interview and not actually interviewing celebrities.

Tasty Tuesday - Taco Tuesday (Neely's Chicken Taco Salad)

Today is a special day, not only is it Tasty Tuesday but it's also Taco Tuesday!!! Everyone loves a good Taco on a Tuesdsay night to sit in front of the TV and watch your favorite primetime shows with either family or friends. I myself enjoy a good Taco Salad once in a while, depending on the condiments being used and how if it's made right. Well still beings though it's still January and everyone is still on their workout regime, I thought I once again pull up a meal that is diet friendly and I mean Chicken and Salad go hand in hand right? 

You all can thank me later for this dish, though I just had Tacos last week I will make this next month; maybe for Valentine's Day. This Taco Tuesday Tasty Tuesday is Food Network's the Neely's with their Chicken Taco Salad. The two have been very popular chefs in the kitchen on the Food Network Channel for a while now so I highly trust their recipes and meals; it has to be the REAL DEAL! Well, enough of me talking, let's dive into some Chicken Taco Salad!!! 

Remarkable Gospel Singing

I don't know what took me so long to edit this video, but I did say I was going to share it with you all. Here's a video from last semester that my friend Aglaelle and I did randomly, we were bored and decided to sing a little. We both have such beautiful voices but I really admire Aglaelle's even more, I can't wait until we both hit the studio and record a duet. 

In this video we decided to sing some Gospel songs ("I Love The Lord" - Whitney Houston & "I Give Myself Away" - William McDowell) and close out with "Silent Night" most famously by Mariah Carey; this video was definitely recorded in December; excuse us for being in the holiday moment. How cute are our harmonies and voices though? We could be a group right? Or would you like to see us do a duet? 

24th Birthday Ideas, Hmm...

I can't believe I'm turning 24 in just a couple of weeks and I still don't have any plans. I mean this is not  uncommon but seriously I have to stop not planning my birthday when it nears in just two weeks. On top of that, the spring semester is about to start next week and I'm not even ready for that. I procrastinate on the biggest things which also needs to stop. 

I need to know what outfit to wear on my birthday, where to go and who to invite. All of these things are running through my mind but at the bottom of the totem pole. I'm only turning 24 though, what is there to do? If you did anything fun let me know, remind you I live on the East Coast so our weather conditions are up and down; one day it snows, one day it rains and the next we're having a hurricane/blizzard, so be mindful of the weather condition. I want to do something fun but indoors and eat less, it's January and most of my friends are on diets. I also want to dress up for my birthday, so I might want to wear a cute button up shirt with a tie and some nice slacks. Something different !

Elisha Ward - Love and War (Tamar Braxton Music Video Cover)

I've been watching a lot of videos on YouTube recently and I came across this incredible young woman who decided to take on the challenging Tamar Braxton song "Love and War" but not only did she do her cover of the song but also made a music video for her version which absolutely blew my mind. I mean the greatest talent now a days are found on YouTube and not only are inspiring singers are just uploading covers of them singing their favorite song but they are taking five steps up and even creating music videos for their covers, talk about having the X-FACTOR! 

I really LOVE Elisha Ward's cover of "Love and War" and her music video for it. The concept of the video was just compelling and caused a tear or two to shed from my eyes. Elisha is such a beautiful curvy woman and I loved how she put pieces of clothing together to create an outfit that showed off her curves as well as made her look chic and runway ready! I'm so obsessed with this music video, just everything from the background band, to her strong unique voice, this woman has ought to be signed ASAP!

Yay, More Skorpion Show !!!

I have not watched this latest episode in its entirety but I will soon. Nothing makes my day better than getting my weekly dose of The Skorpion Show especially those crazy antics that go on inside Kevin's room as well as Makael talking to the side (I think him and Bernadette parted ways). 

I love these guys and their creativeness so much, so if you haven't gotten a chance to give them a chance at your heart and to make you smile then I highly suggest you do. These two are fearless in my eyes and are two of the realest people on YouTube who keep it real about the entertainment business, politics, what's going on in the news as well as life in general.

Young Twain - I Love The East

This kid just keeps on going and going, if you're not familiar with Young Twain then you might want to check the post Introducing Young Twain. Surprisingly when I introduced him to my blog and viewers he has been very successful traveling on the road and meeting with some of the record industries greatest artists and producers. I'm very proud of the success Young Twain has been enduring his success and hard work only motivates me to get on my grind and make my dreams come true. I can't wait to see this kid make it on every music station possible! 

For now, while he's still grinding day and night, check out his newest music video for a track I love "I Love The East" (well only because i'm from the EAST COAST lol). This track reminds me of an old 90s rap vibe but with today's modern problems. The video was beautifully shot and really focused on arial shots as well as scenery. I still have yet to sit down and interview Young Twain, our schedules are cray cray, but it will happen once he comes back east!

Here's the latest video of The Skorpion Show, this video was posted Saturday morning (Jan.12th) and if you haven't watched it over the weekend well here's your chance to catch up. This video is one of my favorites because the two talk about Beyonce and Destiny's Child (my favorite artist and music group). The both of them went IN when they talked about Beyonce's upcoming HBO Documentary Special as well as Destiny's Child new single "Nuclear" and the rumors of them performing it at this years Superbowl Halftime Show. 

They didn't go IN AND LET HAVE in a negative way, but as always truthfully and speaking on behalf of the fans. Other topics the two touch on is the hand written statement feud between Sharon and Kelly Osbourne against Lady Gaga and some interesting SEX TALK (whispering, we got to ease drop on). Looks like after a decade the world most favorited POP boy band soloist Justin Timberlake is ready take a step back from acting and hit the studio to record some new music. It's been a while since we heard JT on a track laying some vocals down soothing the ladies or getting us on our feet to dance off to. 

After releasing a video on YouTube, as he narrates his decision on going back into the music business we would have guessed he wouldn't release any music until later this year, BUT earlier today JT dropped his new song feat. Jay-Z on iTunes, it sounds new nothing like we've ever heard JT do before; maybe he's already done in the studio and ready to release his album OR maybe he's just teasing us dropping the new track to see how we're liking his new sound. 

I can tell you one thing, this new circulated track "Suit & Tie" ain't no FutureSex/LoveSounds material but it does sound like something Robin Thicke would sing; hmm, who knows the two are two bad white boys with soul, looks like both songsters will be facing off to claim who's the dominate Rnb white boy in the music game! Probably in all fun though. I'm loving "Suit & Tie" especially Jay-Z's part, i'm more than sure this song will do good on the music charts, its something fresh and new for JT and I'm LOVING it; check it out!

Challenging & Controlling Acid Reflux

I don't know if you all know, but I suffer from Acid Reflux. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a condition in which the stomach contents (food or liquid) leak backwards from the stomach into the esophagus (the tube from the mouth to the stomach). This action can irritate the esophagus, causing heartburn and other symptoms. Acid Reflux is no joke, over the weekend it triggered me after eating one too many slices of pizza late in the night. 

This is how you can trigger acid reflux; eating late at night, poor diet and exercise, lying down after eating, not enough proper sleep as well as accumulating too many carbonated drinks. I started to get heartburn and indigestion and I thought it stemmed from one night of eating very late at night. I thought that was the case but my pains start to frequently occur as heart and chest burns, then I began to feel sharp pains in my stomach. The pain I was feeling were like thunderbolts shooting from my stomach up towards my chest; a feeling not so pleasant. Then I began to cake medical measurements in to stopping my acid reflux so I did and I haven't had any pains up until now. 

It's tough having acid reflux, because it can damage your internal organs drastically. For those who struggle with acid reflux like I do, I'm going to share with you tips and habits I do to slow down the acid reflux from occurring, I mean you can't get rid of it unless you take surgery measures, but you can control it and help push it out your system without surgery by doing the following:

My beautiful songstress of a friend who goes by the name Aglaelle Nicolas sung a beautiful song in which she had hopped to submit to the Wendy Williams Talent Search, sadly by the time she was about to submit the video the competition already came to a close. Instead of wasting the video she thought it would be good to just put it online and share her gift with the world. In the video you'll get a brief introduction about Aglaelle, where she comes from, who she is and why singing is very important to her. 

Also, be sure to be on the lookout for Aglaelle as she and her choir gospel group were selected to perform at President Obama's 2nd Inauguration Ceremony this coming January 21st. I'm so proud of Aglaelle and such a huge fan of hers. This young woman can SANG!!!! Not so long ago we both sang together on my Mac in which I will soon post the video on my blog so you can hear once again how amazing she is!

Brandy's Impromptu Singing Raises HAIRS!!!

For as long as I can remember I've been a Brandy Norwood fan since she came out with her debut album Brandy (which just so happened to be the first album I ever purchased). As Brandy became one of the worlds most favorited and influential singers, here and there Brandy can be spotted singing some of her favorite songs acapella before shows or just in the comfort of her home.  

No one has that distinct raspy soulful voice that Brandy ignites when she opens her mouth to sing and when Brandy sings she SANGS!!!! At the end of Brandy's acapella performances you will raise a hair or thousands! Brandy surely has a beautiful gift GOD has blessed her with.

The world's best selling female group Destiny's Child is back after an eight year hiatus and they're releasing another album too. Though, it's not an album where they recorded new material, their new album is actually a compilation of their most favorable love songs on their new record titled Destiny's Child Love Songs. 

Just when you were about to get a heart attack and pee your pants, you can continue to do so in a minute once I tell you the trio added an unreleased never before heard song titled "Nuclear" produced by Pharrell Williams.

"Life Is But A Dream" #BeyExcited !!!

In recent entertainment news Beyonce has been the most talked about person ever since the confirmation of Beyonce performing at this years Superbowl Half-Time Show late last year. Week after week, rumors soared Beyonce was releasing new material from her upcoming fifth album due as early as April. The #BeyHive couldn't have gotten more excited when they found out Beyonce would be airing her self directed documentary exclusively on HBO. 

The HBO Documentary follows Beyonce as she takes on her career independently being her own boss, following the stages of her pregnancy, the ups and downs she has as a world renown entertaining icon and never before seen footage Beyonce filmed herself as well as other exciting things we'd get to really know and become relatable to Beyonce. As we all know Beyonce for years has been a very private person in her career and this is a great gift Beyonce is sharing with us all.

With the new season of Love & Hip-Hop New York just premeiring this past Monday and rapper Joe Budden being the most talked about cast member on the show, I thought it would be best to go way back in the vault to the year 2003 and remind ourselves what made us interested in Joe Budden in the first place. 

People almost forgot about the Joe Budden single that put him on the forefront of the rap game, well put him on top of the rap game when he came out with "Pump It Up", an anthem that will forever be played at dance battles, rap battles, house parties, and anywhere you can let loose and get wild. That's what "Pump It Up" did for me back in the day and it's crazy because at the age of 10, I was rapping Joe's first single from beginning to end (smh, I had no idea what I was rapping, I just knew I was a pumped 10 yr old). 

Compared to now Joe Budden looks like totally different person, back in 2003 he looked like a fresh young guy trying to come up in the rap game. Flashback now the man on Love & Hip-Hop looks like he had a rough life and that's because he did fooling around with drugs (you'll hear that story on the next episode of Love & Hip-Hop). I've always been a fan of Joe Budden but a year or two after "Pump It Up", he kind of just disappeared out of nowhere. But now he's back and apart of a rap group called Slaughter House and an official cast member on everyones favorite ratchery show Love & Hip-Hop New York.
