Tamar Braxton - "Love and War" Music Video

The video we've all been waiting for since last year is finally here!!! Tamar Braxton premiered the video for her single "Love and War" off of her sophomore album as well titled Love and War yesterday  on BET's 106 and Park. The video directed by Walid Azami couldn't have been more beautiful in capturing Tamar at her precious moments lip syncing to the beautiful ballad. 

The video as a whole is black and white themed and while some argue that Tamar was either stealing or paying homage to Mariah Carey, I'd have to disagree. Tamar was her own person in her own music video telling a story and what better way to tell a story than a classic black and white effect?!

Rosci & Terrence J Share A Special Announcement

It's A Sad But Yet Happy Moment For Black Entertainment Television. 

BET's 106 and Park hosts Rocsi and Terrence J announced live on the show their mutual agreement to depart from being hosts on the hit music countdown live show. Aside from it being a sad moment, there has been talks through the blogs and magazines that both hosts wanted to pursue other opportunities in their careers. Of course, Terrence J who just was in 'Think Like A Man' wants to pursue more acting and hosting jobs as well as Rocsi who wants to focus on her acting career. Both hosts will be missed deeply for which they brought in a lot of viewers on the show and at home.

I know I will miss the two of the being hosts, because they were relatable in every way. My first time ever attending a 106 and Park tapping, the hosts were Rocsi and Terrence J. I will always remember them and thank them for putting on such a fantastic show. I will remember during commercial breaks where Rocsi nicely gave me a hug and we shared little laughs about her Pomeranian pooch. They haven't said when they'll be leaving the show, but let's just hope the new set of hosts turn up the notch and hold it down for Rocsi and Terrence J. 


I hope they hold auditions to be the next hosts, because I will audition and I will become BET's 106 and Park next host! Please share with me for those who have been to a tapping of 106 and Park, share with me your experiences and memories. 

Read Between The Lines

The new family sitcom on BET entitled Read Between The Lines, has become one of my favorite fall shows. Being a fan of Malcolm Jamal-Warner and Traci Ellis Ross, I knew I would love this show the first second I watched it. This show is funny, sweet, and the story lines are going to be great. I've been hearing people say this is the new black Cosby's but this show is far from the Cosby's, it's more like My Wife and Kids but the whole cast are comedic. BET has really been producing very great shows, I hope this show will stick around for the long run. Have you checked out the show? It comes on Tuesday nights at 10PM on BET.

Rocsi Diaz - Go Where Hip-Hop Interview "Chicago Youth"

During a recent trip to Chicago, BET's 106 & Park Host Rocsi Diaz chatted up with a Chicago native and blogger by the name of Jeff Baraka for a quick video interview. Rocsi talked about how she was in Chicago to help her friend NBA Basketball Player Dwayne Wade with his Chicago Has Talent Showcase. Rocsi chats about growing up in Chicago the good gumbo she used to have, her transition moving from a small country city to the Big Apple and we also see a funnier and candid side of Rocsi we don't really get to see on 106 & Park. What also shocked in during the interview was that she is completely double jointed. Wait until you watch the video to see what i'm talking about. Rocsi has a cute quirky personality and with those talents she will be successful for many years to come.

Aaliyah Dana Haughton: The 10 Yr. Anniversary

Today marks the 10 yr. anniversary death of R&B sensation Aaliyah Dana Haughton. It was 10 years ago this day God called his precious angel upon to Heaven. Aaliyah died in a terrible plane crash on her way home (the states) from a wonderful trip in the Bahamas. Although Aaliyah lived a short life, she left behind a legacy that will never be imitated or replaced. Aaliyah was a huge selling sensation through music and movies throughout the early 90s until the early millennium years. Aaliyah's music can be heard throughout the world and her music videos are still played world wide. I will always love the person she was and how good her songs was. That voice of hers was simply angelic. Tonight on BET there will be a 10 yr. anniversary tribute to the late great Aaliyah at 8pm. Aaliyah is truly #OneInAMillion

Toya 'A Family Affair': You're Cordially Invited To...

Last month, Antonia "Toya" Carter Wright tied the knot with Mickey "Memphitz" Wright via private small ceremony with immediate loved ones and friends. The cameras were there to catch the whole wedding due to Toya filming her reality show Toya: A Family Affair. Toya and Memphitz were more than nice enough to share the episode with us all. There almost wasn't a wedding Toya dreamed of due to some complications with the weather earlier in the day. The wedding turned out to be a beautiful and joyful day for both bride and groom. Watching the wedding also made me shed a few tears also. You can truly feel the love these two have for one another. It was also touching because it became the missing puzzle to Toya's life. It was her closing the chapter to the end of a saga and beginning a new one with the man of her life. I don't want to give too much away, but thank BET, Toya and Memphitz for sharing the episode with us for all to see. You can view the wedding after the jump. I told myself I would never get married, but after watching this episode my mind might have been changed :-). 

A Video Down Memory Lane

There has been many countless times I've visited BET's top countdown show 106 and Park. I've never went by myself, I always went with friends. The times I mostly went my BFF always came along with me. I remember we went to the the city (New York) on a hot summer day just to walk around and visit Manhattan Mall. We never intended on going to 106 and Park that day, so we basically said what the hell let's stop by. Not knowing who was the special guests were we totally looked crazy lol. Shockingly, BET.Com has footage of my bff and I in the audience at 106 and Park. I'm not going to tell you who the special guests were, you just have to watch for yourself =). How bout' the 4th season premiere of BET's "The Game" last night? What did you think of the season opening? The new faces? The twists and turns? Did you expect one bit of what happened? I know I was shocked and surprised. I can tell i'm going to love this new season. Thank God BET picked up "The Game". All the characters and writers are back baby! Only thing I don't like about this season is all these scene locations and the camera, it makes me feel like I'm watching a Soap Opera lol. Other than that.....GAME ON BITCHES!!!!  =)

Baldwin Hills

This weekend I have fufilled my fix by watching one of my favorite reality shows ever; "Baldwin Hills". "Baldwin Hills" was a reality based tv show on BET following several teens whose parent's were wealthy and some were not. "Baldwin Hills" is a city out in California, I would say a heavy population of the African-American culture. BET took the show of the air for some wrong reason, but it needs to come back on air. I enjoyed watching people of my kind and seeing what life is like for them over on the other side of the United States. However, I do have my favorites from the show but I will not care to share lol. I might be judged lol. Let's just say I love the person everyone loves to hate. Can you figure it out? Well you can watch episodes of Baldwin Hills on Bet.Com just like I did over the weekend. All of season 2 & 3 are up for viewing. With season 1, the only videos available are the classic clips of certain episodes that were highlights.
