I've been waiting to hear something from JoJo since her last album. Thank God, the R&B Pop songtress has released a mixtape lining up to the release of her third album[coming soon]. You all remember JoJo? She was the one who had us bumping to her first #1 single "Leave (Get Out)" and "Baby It's You Feat. Bow Wow". Joanna Levesque' aka JoJo, took to the studio and recorded some good ol' tunes for us (the fans) to listen to while she grinds hard on her thrid album. JoJo took time to chat with RAP UP Magazine to say this about her mixtape;
"This mixtape is more experimental, I was able to explore the full spectrum of things that interest me and inspire me musically. Whereas the album, I wanted to make pop records and radio hits and things that satisfy me, but particularly for [All I Want Is Everything], it’s more of a continuous body of work." She added that the mixtape is more different than her upcoming album All I Want Is Everything.The first single "In The Dark" is different than anything people have heard from her. She said about "In The Dark": It’s a very sensual record and there’s an undertone of sadness to it.
We're glad to hear JoJo is back in the studio and she's ready to give us tons & tons of great music. JoJo never disappointed me with her music. The mixtape actually released the 7th of September, and I just downloaded it myself. Listening to 30 secs of each song, you can hear vocally how much JoJo has grown so much in her music, lyrics and style. From what I hear, JoJo took full control of the album and you can hear in the music itself she took on different elements and became luccid to what she wanted this mixtape to become of. Welcome back JoJo, I can't wait to hear the album coming soon. This is mixtape is going to be on heavy rotation on my IPOD for a couple of months =). To download the Mixtape read after the jump.
