My BFF Britany's Blog!

Hey my fellow followers reading this right now! I have a blog I would like for you all to check out. My BFF Britany has decided to create a blog for those girls who are Tomboys but want to start dipping and dabbing into the Girly Girl World; hence her blog name The [Not So] Girly Girl. 

Britany throughout our high school years has always been a jeans, t-shirt and retro Jordan kind of girl with either a cute ponytail or bun when she's not lazy. Britany also participated in cheerleading but she refused to dress girly girl; except in the cute uniforms; other than that she refused to dress the part. 

As Britany realized in her undergrad years, being a cheerleader in college meant having to play the part. Britany gave in and decided to experiment in makeup (lip stick, eye shadow, mascara and the other cool works). Britany grew slowly to love the effects of being a girly girl. 

Now at the young womanly age of 23, Britany was focused this past summer on trying different makeup products, haircare and even changing her wardrobe. The drastic change I saw Britany perform was maintaining her nails and feet every week. Britany is really serious about becoming a girly girl! 

Enough blabber about how awesome my BFF is! In Britany's blog she will guide girls who were just like her in the tomboy phase in recommending fantastic makeup products, different hairstyles and even most importantly skin care. 

Doesn't matter if you're a female or male; you can learn a little  or a lot of what Britany has to offer on her blog posts; which she updates daily. I'd like you all to check it out and tell her what you think or how much so you can relate to her.

There are more words you can describe my BFF Britany and myself, but here's proof to show how real and crazy we are when we're together. I love my BFF with all my heart and i'm glad I have moments that I've shared with her on video. I really don't think there's a stronger best friend relationship than the one Britany and I have.

Tasty Tuesday: Avocado Deviled Eggs

Borrowed from Tori Spelling's blog which she borrowed from Eating Well Living Thin, I chose this temptingly somewhat delicious kind of deviled eggs. I say somewhat only because this deviled egg dish includes avocado and I am not a big fan of ANYTHING avocado. However, I am in love with deviled eggs so why not try something new and go a bit spicy. That's what hits my taste buds when I taste avocado; a bitter spiced taste. It looks very good though, I'm not going to deny that but one of these summer days i'll grab my BFF Britany and we can make some for a taste tester. Here's today Tasty Tuesday Avocado Deviled Eggs, check the recipe below. 

Ingredients

• 6 hard boiled eggs
• 1 medium avocado, diced small
• 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
• 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
• 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
• Salt to taste

Directions

1. Cut boiled eggs in half lengthwise and carefully scoop out yolks. 
2. Mash yolks with a fork. Stir in diced avocados, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and salt to taste. 
3. Fill egg whites with yolk mixture and place on a serving plate. Sprinkle with cayenne or fresh, chopped parsley. 

Tori’s Tip: Make this close to serving as avocado could brown!

Britany's 23rd Birthday [Video]

Happy Friday Everyone! Britany just edited and uploaded her birthday video from June 15. The Churls (Britany, Myself, Katheena, Shanta, Asha, Brandy and Sherese) all celebrated Britany's 23rd birthday at Dave & Busters in New York City. It was a nice to remember for all times. Weekend Recap 6/1 - 6/3

Friday night couldn't have been such a blast. I don't know if you all are following me on Twitter, Instagram or FaceBook, you'd know for the past two weeks I was dying for McDonald's Chicken Nuggets. Well my dying starvation finally came to end as I went with my friend Britnie to McDonalds for a late night catch up date. To end Friday night, I engaged in a long phone conversation with my BFF Britany which included looking up funny videos on YouTube, eventually coming across one of our favorite YouTubers Ices Brown.

Saturday was a chilled day, my sister came over to drop off my nephews. she had a baby shower to attend in New York City. Spending time with them could be a blessing and yet a curse. They both can be good, but when they are bad, they are bad! Not all the time though, I love them. Maybe me and kids just don't mix well or i'm not used to crying, screaming, running around and being hungry every time food is in the vicinity. I endued up being introduced to my new favorite musical Bye Bye Birdie. Vanessa Williams looks stunningly beautiful as always in the film.

Sunday chill. My nephews left and it was just my brother and I in the house to do what we always do best and that's be lazy. Well, except for myself I had school work to take care of. For my summer class Intro to Film, I have three movies I was supposed to watch over the weekend: Casablanca, Juno and Singin' in the Rain.  I didn't even finish them this weekend only because Sunday afternoon I tried to watch Casablanca and it put me to sleep. I didn't even watch the whole thing, maybe it's because during my solo movie afternoon I devoured a nice big cheese steak sandwich. 


Sunday night, I did watch Empire Girls: Julissa & Adrienne on the Style Network at 9pm. I love the show already, I thought I wasn't going to find Julissa interesting, but there's a lot people don't know about her which I found more people can relate to her. The show's first two episodes gave you much of what an actual celeb-reality tv show should be. If you haven't watched it or want to watch it, I will be sure to post the episodes on my blog, weekly. 


I didn't get a chance to watch the MTV Movie Awards this year. Update me on who won big and who looked phenomenal on the red carpet! 

ooVoo night w/ Brit!

I've stumbled upon these ooVoo pictures Britany and I took when we were web-caming one night. ooVoo is this web cam service where you can chat with friends via webcam. Brit and I are so silly we would make up ridiculous screen names for our account and just chat away about NOTHING! That's how silly we are. I think we were webcam chatting for hours because we were bored. We also invited our friend Desmond along for a 3-way chat. The fun never ends with Brit and I, especially if you're on webcam with us :-). I'm actually a Skype kind of kid, but ooVoo is alright if you want just a new display. How cute is my display name "Bad FaG Bitch!"? Check out the pictures after the jump.

Last week, my BFF as you all know Britany celebrated her 22nd birthday at Houlihans Restaurant & Bar. The love for Britany was all in the air. A lot of people dined and stopped by to celebrate the gorgeous girls' 22nd birthday. I only took some pics, they aren't much but when Brit posts her's on FaceBook, i'll be sure to snag them. The X-Factor Live Auditions

Last week, I went to The X-Factor Live Auditions with my BFF Britany and my friend Allie. Britany and I went to all of the auditions; which ended up being four separate auditions. The live auditions is where an audience of like hundreds of people get to see the contestants audition for the judges to move on to The X-Factor competition. The judges were Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and L.A. Reid. The event was FUN FUN FUN! Here are some pictures and don't forget to watch this fall.

Okay so over the week i was hanging with my best friend, and we had soooooo much fun.. yesterday we went to the city ..Yes in the cold rain, but it wasnt that cold in NYC because of the buildings and so forth. We had fun, we went to Chipotle(which i shouldve filmed but i didnt) sorry :'( , that was my first time eating there, its a Mexican Grill Resturant, its just ..i give it 5stars*****. Hey Everyone!!! I found some fun pics from my best friends(Britany) birthday night June 15, 2008.OMG!!! We had soo much fun, we had cake, and went bowling.
