"Don't Ask, Don't Tell" Is Over...

Today marks the end of the 17 year law that was passed by President Clinton and a Resistant Pentagon entitled "Don't Ask, Don't Tell". "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is a reform to deny homosexuality into the military. If you were asked about your sexuality in the military and you answered gay or lesbian, then sadly you were dismissed from continuing to serve our dear country. I'm glad President Obama kept his word and went forth with signing the repeal to ban the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. The military shouldn't discriminate towards any type of U.S. Citizen. We are all family and those gay or straight both lend a helping hand to make the US a better place. This is just one step closer to building an equal world for you and me.

"'Don't ask, don't tell' is over, and you no longer have to sacrifice your integrity." It is a major victory for those who were discharged from the armed services on account of their sexuality. - President Obama
