TASTY TUESDAY: SUNNY'S CEREAL CONFETTI COOKIES

Tis' the season to stock your dining room with christmas cookies delight.

The holidays are all about tasty treats and satisfying meals. I'm one who loves to have a little bit of treats in a jar or bin to help bring in the holiday spirit when I'm not cooking. I've always been a cookie type of guy. Especially chocolate chip and sugar cookies.

I came across Food Network's own Sunny Anderson's beautifully presented 'Sunny's Cereal Confetti Cookies' and I just thought I had to share with you all. The fact that it's already sugar cookies but with a bit of Fruity Pebbles cereal (which happens to be my favorite) just got me excited to bake and try.

I incorporated M&Ms in my chocolate chip cookies but I never once thought to add cereal to the mix. I can't wait to try the cookies once I bake them and share them with you all. Have you ever done this before? What type of treats do you keep around during the holidays?

TASTY TUESDAY: THANKSGIVING TURKEYS (CANDY DESSERT)

Tis the season to be greedy, however this year I'm not so much into the holiday feasting moment. I'm taking a step back away from the dinner table and just nibble here and there on some of the desserts. Thanksgiving isn't just the same for me anymore since I'm beginning to dislike some of the foods I once loved.

As always, I'm all for the dessert table. Anything from cakes, cookies to banana pudding, I'm right there with my plate in hand. I came across this cute small dessert treat very different from what I have at my Thanksgiving dinners. This is Food Network's 'Thanksgiving Turkeys' by Giada De Laurentiis. This delightful dessert dish includes, Peanut Butter Cups, Oreo's, Candy Corn and sweet frosting.

If you're intrigued by this dessert dish as I am. Then take your shot at it by re-creating this dish as apart of your Thanksgiving. Remember to share your photos with me!!!

But first you'll need the recipe and ingredients!

Tasty Tuesday: Fourth of July Cocktail

On the eve of Fourth of July it wouldn't be right if I didn't post a recipe dish that was patriotic. This time it's an easy make; a cocktail. I really planned on going to a winery for the Fourth of July but I guess plans weren't going according too. I'm not big on drinking but I do love a good cocktail here and there.

Browsing through Food Network's website and came across 21 of the favorite 4th of July recipes, I decided to pick this bomb cocktail called Fourth of July Cocktail; basically self explanatory. What better way to celebrate the Fourth of July with a drink in your hand (if you're in my age bracket then you know what's up)!

Thanks to Guy Fieri from Food Netwrok Magazine for shaking up this red, white and blue patriotic beverage. Check out the recipe  below:

Tasty Tuesday: Low-Fat Scalloped Potatoes

How delicious does this bowl look? I'm a big potato lover, especially when the skin is peeled to its finest. Although potatoes are filled with a high starch, I have found the perfect low-fat potato dish. This recipe comes from no other than the Food Network Channel's website and the given dish name is "Low-Fat Scalloped Potatoes". Sounds yummy from start to finish. This recipe gives a 6-8 serving amount, so eat wisely lol. I haven't tried this dish yet, but the flavored salt that appears on top of the potatoes looks very yummy, reminds me of the Honey BBQ Chips for some reason. Anywho, if you get a chance to make this potato meal, let me know how it tastes. Continue after the jump for the recipe and link. Bon' Appetite'!

Tasty Tuesday: Asian Rice Salad With Shrimp

Today's Tasty Tuesday meal is something from the other side of the world. The continent of Asia to be exact. We all love the Asian culture food. I know i'm in love with their different types of salads and dressings. It's rare though for some of us to actually give our taste buds some of the real deep Asian cultured foods. Reason being, we are all so into the fast food Chinese/Japanese restaurants. Asian food is surprisingly authentic and delicious. I say surprisingly due to the fact we hear all these stories of the Asians who eat and kill animals we're not used to eating; same goes for the vegetables and other farmed crops. This is why i'm making today's Tasty Tuesday meal "Asian Rice Salad With Shrimp". Something to give our taste buds a different real rich taste. Who doesn't love a good rice and shrimp dish? :-).

Tasty Tuesday: Turkey and Stuffin' Soup

Yum, Yum, Yum and more Yum. Who doesn't love the soft delicious taste of stuffing? The only stuffing I know about is the brand STOVE TOP. I wanted to find something healthy but also slightly hearty to the soul. Everyone loves a good soup. Soup just doesn't have to be a liquid broth, you can mix it with different foods and keep it simple. I like my soups with a meat and some vegetables. But thank GOD, there is a recipe that includes stuffing in a soup lol. You don't know how excited I am about it. I am jumping for joy! I can't wait to try it. You can get the recipe after the jump. Oh' and a super special thanks to the incredible chef Rachael Ray for lending the recipe to the Food Network Channel's website.

Tasty Tuesday: The Neely's Spicy Fried Wings

Hey everyone welcome to Tasty Tuesday. Beings that I am African-American, I honestly couldn't go on doing  Tasty Tuesday meals without adding an African-American favorite dish and that is Chicken Wings! Lol, you know how they say black people are known for their chicken wings. Well, I'm putting a spin on these chicken wings and i'm going to Food Network's first African-American Family "The Neely's" for some help to kick up these chicken wings.

The Neely's has a great recipe entitled "The Neely's Spicy Fried Wings" and that is exactly what i'm making today's Tasty Tuesday. Who can't resist the taste of spicy wings with a side of their favorite condiment? The picture above just makes you want to eat about 10 of them in one sitting. They look so good right? Well, you can thank me after you had your plate of these spicy wings. I'm not much of a spicy food kind of guy, but you can never go wrong with a cooking from The Neely's. Tasty Tuesday: Sangria Perea

Happy Tasty Tuesday everyone. Today's special drink recipe comes from our friends over at The Food Network. I decided to choose an of age alcoholic drink just be festive to bring in the spring weather. I'm sure everyone has heard of the drink Sangria. I personally never had Sangria, but I hear from all my friends and family, it is one of the best fruity wine drinks they have ever had. The name of the wine is called "Sangria Perea" and by looking at the picture above you can tell it has to be one hell of a good drink. Hopefully soon I'll be starting my summer right by making a pitcher of this fruity juice =).

Tasty Tuesday: Roast Turkey Breast With Glazed Vegetables

Easter is right around the corner. I thought it would be ideal to select a dish that represented the Easter holiday. When I think of the Easter holiday and its feast, I tend to think of light meals. Hearty meals, but just something to nourish the body for new beginnings. The lightest meal that seems to intrigue my taste buds searching for a meal was "Roast Turkey Breast With Glazed Vegetables". Turkey meat has to be one of my favorite meats I enjoy. It's lean, healthy and the juice it creates is just mouth watering. This is why today's Tasty Tuesday meal comes from our friends over at The Food Network and we present you with "Roast Turkey Breast With Glazed Vegetables". Sounds super yummy. Tasty Tuesday: Golden Pound Cake

Today is the most delicious day of the week =). Only because today is Tasty Tuesday. Last night, my mother decided to bake a cake. Knowing we didn't have any cake frosting till the last minute, she decided to call the cake "Pound Cake" lol. My mother can be a character at times. I knew I thought to myself that there actually has to be a way to make pound cake w/o using actual box cake mix. It did taste like Pound Cake, but I wanted to search up other recipes to see what other kinds are there. This is why today I'm making "Golden Pound Cake" todays' Tasty Tuesday. The special twist to it is that the top has some type of cranberry sauce. Looks good to me. =). Read after the jump for the recipe. Bon' Appetite'

Tasty Tuesday: Funnel Cake

Yummy! A friend actually inspired this Tasty Tuesday meal today. I really love the taste of Funnel Cakes, but I only thought you could eat them in the summer time at carnivals and boardwalks. How dumb was I? lol My friend called me and said she was in the mix of making Funnel Cake inside of her home. I was shocked and stunned when she told me the simple ingredients needed to make a good Funnel Cake. Knowing me, I'd probably make a Funnel Cake every week or probably twice a month =). Words cannot describe how good this sweet treat tastes like. You have to truly try it if you haven't! I found a quick 10-minute recipe from Food Network's own Paula Deen.

Tasty Tuesday: Macho Nachos

Yesterday I tried my hardest to make Nachos when I came home from school. Let's just say it didn't go quite as planned lol. I used fake shredded cheese, I thought tomato sauce was the same as salsa and I forgot to add the sour cream =(. Big disaster of the year so far. I don't know what got over me to even mess up the easiest snack dish ever lol. Do not judge me everyone! Thank the Lord I found the delicious greatest Nacho recipe from no other than Food Networks' own Paula Deen. I've posted some recipes from Paula Deen that are very good. I love her cooking and her meals always apply to my hunger. So today's Tasty Tuesday meal is Paula Deen's "Macho Nachos".  Check the meal after the jump. Bon' Appetite'!

I thought why not just search or the recipe and come to find out it's actually easy to make. I think i'm going to throw a pizza party, instead of ordering pizza my friends and I will make them lol. I'm actually craving for a slice right now. Anyone want to buy me a slice? =). Check after the jump for the recipe. Bon' Appetite'!

Tasty Tuesday: Chicken Enchiladas

This weekend I had the pleasure of having my BFF cook for me while I stayed with her at her apartment dorm. I swear I love my BFF's cooking so much she should think about becoming a part time chef lol. My BFF made her famous Chicken & Cheese Enchiladas with yellow rice. I swear it was most perfect tasteful Enchilada I ever had in my life. Mind you I've never had an Enchilada in my life =) Now I'm craving them more than ever. I decided this should be today's Tasty Tuesday meal. The recipe comes from Tyler Florence of the Food Network Channel. Enjoy & let me know how it tastes =)

Tasty Tuesday: Minted Fruit Salad

Okay everyone, I know you all had a great big Thanksgiving meal and so did I. I regret eating a lot of food these past few days including left overs. I sadly gained a few lbs than I should have laid off. You just have to love the holiday season lol. Holiday weight is what the pit of the year is. I have something that will get you all under control until Christmas & New Years grubbing. Just because the holidays are right after each other, that doesn't mean you can pig out until the new year. No, it simply means to get back into eating healthy and slimming down those few lbs you gained. Your best bet is to consume fruits and veggies, also add in some exercise.

Today's Tasty Tuesday meal is something light and fun, "Minted Fruit Salad". I've never posted a fruit salad before so i'm actually kind of ecstatic that I did. The Salad looks enticing, I've never tried a salad with a few mint leaves. I'm dying to know what it tastes like. I'm finally going the healthy route instead of searching for fries and some chicken tenders lol. The fruit salad meals comes from one of my favorite sources of recipes; The Food Network Channel. A simple easy meal to slice up and enjoy. Take a look after the jump to get the recipe. Enjoy, Bon' Appetite!
