New Video - The Kardashians/Jenners "Hypnotize"

As a family favorite and tradition every time the clan heads out on vacation they decided to make a music video. Previous videos include Katy Perry's "E.T." and "Firework", Missy Elliot, Lil Kim, Christina Aguilera, Mya and Pink's "Lady Marmalade" and now on their latest family trip to the Dominican Republic they decided on B.I.G's "Hypnotize". The video features video editors Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Bruce Jenner, Kris Jenner, Kendall and Kylie's two best friends, Scott Disick and then of course your Kardashians Kourtney, Kim and Rob. 

The video looks like lots of fun, although you would have thought they all were in a Hype Williams music video back in the late 90s early 2000's. You'll see lots of booty shaking, beautiful scenery and most of all family fun dynamic of the Kardashians and Jenners. Kim Kardashian looks very stunning in her cheetah robe with her hair full out, that's probably the sexiest I've ever seen her. Let's not forget about Kourtney's stylish maternity one piece bathing suit. The highlight of the video however is Bruce giving Kris a little smack on the booty as if he's pimping her out.

Weekend Recap 6/1 - 6/3

Friday night couldn't have been such a blast. I don't know if you all are following me on Twitter, Instagram or FaceBook, you'd know for the past two weeks I was dying for McDonald's Chicken Nuggets. Well my dying starvation finally came to end as I went with my friend Britnie to McDonalds for a late night catch up date. To end Friday night, I engaged in a long phone conversation with my BFF Britany which included looking up funny videos on YouTube, eventually coming across one of our favorite YouTubers Ices Brown.

Saturday was a chilled day, my sister came over to drop off my nephews. she had a baby shower to attend in New York City. Spending time with them could be a blessing and yet a curse. They both can be good, but when they are bad, they are bad! Not all the time though, I love them. Maybe me and kids just don't mix well or i'm not used to crying, screaming, running around and being hungry every time food is in the vicinity. I endued up being introduced to my new favorite musical Bye Bye Birdie. Vanessa Williams looks stunningly beautiful as always in the film.

Sunday chill. My nephews left and it was just my brother and I in the house to do what we always do best and that's be lazy. Well, except for myself I had school work to take care of. For my summer class Intro to Film, I have three movies I was supposed to watch over the weekend: Casablanca, Juno and Singin' in the Rain.  I didn't even finish them this weekend only because Sunday afternoon I tried to watch Casablanca and it put me to sleep. I didn't even watch the whole thing, maybe it's because during my solo movie afternoon I devoured a nice big cheese steak sandwich. 


Sunday night, I did watch Empire Girls: Julissa & Adrienne on the Style Network at 9pm. I love the show already, I thought I wasn't going to find Julissa interesting, but there's a lot people don't know about her which I found more people can relate to her. The show's first two episodes gave you much of what an actual celeb-reality tv show should be. If you haven't watched it or want to watch it, I will be sure to post the episodes on my blog, weekly. 


I didn't get a chance to watch the MTV Movie Awards this year. Update me on who won big and who looked phenomenal on the red carpet! 

Old Fad: UGG CLASSICS

This may be a bit too late for this topic better late than never. I remember when UGGs used to be the popular boot ever that was comfortable and stylish to throw on with anything. I own two pairs of the male classic UGGs and I used to be infatuated with them. At one point you couldn't get me to stop wearing them. Though the winter season is over, I still wear them around [the house and when I walk my dog]. 

As fashion is changing every corner, i'm not seeing many people wear UGGs as much. It's funny because it was the women who wore them religiously, now I see them dressed in flat shoe boots or a bootie shoe of that nature also a lot of Ralph Lauren Polo Boots have taken over. I know I ditched the UGG Classic boot for my new love Dr. Martens. I wonder how long the UGG Classic Boot will be worn around for, it's comfortable and all but people's style is changing to something much edgier.

Renting Or Owning???

When I become financially stable in life, have a salary and can afford a place of my own, I decided that I would want to be a renter rather than owning a home. I wonder if I was crazy or were there people like me who choose to rent over owning a home. Not that owning a home is a scary thing to me, I want to live in New York City or Los Angeles and I feel in those two big cities there are going to be plenty of times where you want to move in a 2-3yr span [this is just my opinion]. There's so much to see and experience in a city that's huge. When owning a home, I feel like you're stuck and have so many responsibilities to keep up with. 

When renting, the stress is all upon the landlord all you have to do is pay the rent on time and you're good, of course finding a great and respectful landlord or property you'll live to love. I think by now you all know the responsibilities of owning a home, if not well you have to keep up with maintenance of the home which sometimes you'll be throwing out tons of money, depending on where you live. For some strange odd reason I think renting is much more fun than owning. I'd rather stress less than stress more. 

I just gave you an overview on my decision to renting versus owning a home. What are you more leaning towards? Let me know, who knows maybe your comment can change my mind! 

Decision Made: Team Blackberry

For months I've been undecided if I want to stick with being a Blackberry user or switch to the iPhone. I've come to my final decision and I'm sticking with my #TeamBlackberry. It all makes sense to me because the Blackberry is so convenient for my lifestyle and so much more. Don't get me wrong, the iPhone is cool and all but beings though I have an iPod Touch and it acts the same way as the iPhone [except for a lil differences like the messages and phone call options] i'm pretty much bored with it sometimes. Yes, apps are much more better to handle on the iPhone such as Twitter and FaceBook than the Blackberry, i'll still have my touch and use from time to time. Basically I love my QWERTY keypad!!! I'm a button freak right? There's so much I can withstand from a touch screen phone.

Throwback Friday - Real McCoy "Another Night"

I remember growing up in the 90s you just couldn't turn the radio without listening to a string of the hottest club songs that were out at the time. Most of the club/dance songs were in movies and then some could be heard being played at block parties or cookouts. Of course, I was too young at the time to go clubbing, my ears immediately fell in with the fast uptempo beat and soulful voices artists penned on the song. The 90s club music made you feel free and stress free. 

One of my favorite songs would have to be the Real McCoy with "Another Night". I don't recall where was the first time I heard the song, but I know this beat that I would be unforgettable. I had no idea the group filmed a video for the song. I couldn't be more excited than ever. Take a look at the video and observe how music videos differ from today.

New Video: Chris Brown Feat. Big Sean & Wiz Khalifa 'Till I Die"

Finally a video for the promoted pictures of Chris Brown, Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa that have been going around for the past few weeks is finally out. The trio teamed up together, hopped on a track entitled "Till I Die" and shot a video which features cameo appearances by some of your favorite weed smokers. I don't know if the song is a leading single off of Chris Brown's follow up to his Grammy award winning album F.A.M.E which is titled to be Fortune. 

"Til I Die" is a different track for Chris since he's been releasing pop/dance tracks on iTunes lately. The song is something you can def can listen to while chilling with friends at a kick back. The video is pretty interesting and dope! Although when the video starts I thought it was an ad commercial, so like a dummy I fast forwarded the video and actually found myself in the middle of the video. Only problem I have with Chris Brown is his 'nose ring' ... not for him!!!

Rosci & Terrence J Share A Special Announcement

It's A Sad But Yet Happy Moment For Black Entertainment Television. 

BET's 106 and Park hosts Rocsi and Terrence J announced live on the show their mutual agreement to depart from being hosts on the hit music countdown live show. Aside from it being a sad moment, there has been talks through the blogs and magazines that both hosts wanted to pursue other opportunities in their careers. Of course, Terrence J who just was in 'Think Like A Man' wants to pursue more acting and hosting jobs as well as Rocsi who wants to focus on her acting career. Both hosts will be missed deeply for which they brought in a lot of viewers on the show and at home.

I know I will miss the two of the being hosts, because they were relatable in every way. My first time ever attending a 106 and Park tapping, the hosts were Rocsi and Terrence J. I will always remember them and thank them for putting on such a fantastic show. I will remember during commercial breaks where Rocsi nicely gave me a hug and we shared little laughs about her Pomeranian pooch. They haven't said when they'll be leaving the show, but let's just hope the new set of hosts turn up the notch and hold it down for Rocsi and Terrence J.

What Are Some Great Websites Where I Can Apply For College Scholarships?!

Hey everyone, I need a huge favor from those who can or know someone who can help me out. As we all know, college is not the most cheapest place to further an education. I'm recently enrolled in NYIT (New York Institute of Technology) and the tuition there is not so bad as I thought it would be, but beings though according to the government my mother makes "too much" money for me to qualify for financial assistance from the government "free aid". The school has did a big help by allowing me to qualify for their grant and transfer scholarship awards; The bad part is I'm once again taking out more loans. In the outcome, I'm not complaining because most of the awarded loan money including grants and transfer scholarship fund has covered most of my first semester tuition. There's just one thing i'm some thousand short. 

Now, back when I was at my community college, I had applied for scholarships that they provided and I was never awards any of them because they process just took too long and well I graduated just last week .With that being thrown out of the window, I am not trying to find good outstanding scholarship websites that will provide me the best way on getting a scholarship to help me pay the rest of my college tuition. I would like to hear from you guys what sites or sources you have used or heard other's talk about that gave him the best scholarships. If you know anything please help me out, I don't want to waste a year again on a scholarship website that never got back to me. Tasty Tuesday: Overnight Blueberry French Toast

For those who didn't know I am a sweets foody (a person obsessed with food). I could practically eat anything sweet in the morning. I know it's bad, but there's this infatuation I have with sugar. Please don't let me be the only one, can I get an AMEN?!


I was scrimmaging around online looking for something tasty to post when I came across actress and party planner extraordinaire Tori Spelling's cute little mother's day treat. The dish Overnight Blueberry French Toast looks absolutely delish!!! I'm no fan of french toast, but the way Tori did the works on it sure made me want to try it. I don't know about you, but by looking at the picture I'm drooling for it now. Of course I had to share this with you all!

Friday 5/25

Friday, I broke day believe it or not! The day before Thursday, I woke up at 3 in the afternoon and didn't go back to bed until 6 Friday evening. You can guess that I was over my Friday. But I basically spent my morning traveling to New York City to register for classes at NYIT but found out the two ladies I needed to see weren't there. I then went up to UCC to purchase my last and final text book for a summer class that I'm taking. As soon as I got home, I cooked lunch then chilled a bit, next thing I noticed I woke up and it was 9pm. 

That Friday night started off Beyonce's opening night at Revel Resorts in Atlantic City, a string of 4 concert night events for Memorial Day Weekend. I was mad I couldn't afford tickets to go so I Twitter stalked hash tag #Beyonce #Revel to see pictures and videos fans were posting as they were enjoying their time.

If you follow former Cheetah Girl and ex-girlfriend of Rob Kardashian, Adrienne Bailon on Twitter then you'd know she and television host Julissa Bermudez have teamed up together as the two Latina's take on New York City in their upcoming reality show Empire Girls: Julissa & Adrienne premiering June 3rd at 9pm on the STYLE Network.  

The show will focus on the two along with their closets best friends as they try to get back into the entertainment industry after a few ups and downs they've endured. New Video: Melody Thornton Feat. Bobby Newberry "Bulletproof"

Former Pussycat Doll now independent solo artist Melody Thornton slays in her second follow up music video of her new mixtape P.O.Y.B.L(Piss On Your Black List) which she released in March of this year. Melody and Bobby Newberry covers La Roux's hit "Bulletproof" but changes the style of the song making it a ballad and less dance track. The video is phenomenal to add, the element of black and white is always classic and coveting. Indeed, Melody has always been the soulful voice with powerful vocals to reach extrodinary heights in my eyes.  

More on the video though if you love vintage film editing and furniture then you'll love what the two are serving at us. Nothing can be more beautiful than having 1920's furniture on the beach with the ocean waves just rolling elegant and smooth. You just have to take a look at the video yourself to see what I mean. Throwback Friday - Donna Summer "She Works Hard For The Money"

Today's Throwback Friday is in memory of the Queen of Disco Donna Summer, who passed away last week at the fabulous age of 63 due to lung cancer. As our legends soar high above the clouds to Heaven we are fortunate enough to be left with an amazing legacy they've created. One of my favorite songs from Donna Summer is one of her biggest hits "She Works Hard For The Money". My condolences goes out to her family and fans. Donna Summer will never be forgotten, she will always have ties with the term DISCO.

Throwback Thursday: Living Single

Since the big thing to do on Thursdays is putting old pictures up on social networking sites and calling it Throwback Thursday, I decided to join in. Back in the early to late 90s before Sex and the City, there was a show of four African-American woman living singly in a brownstone apartment out in Brooklyn, New York entitled Living Single. 

The four woman Khadijah James (Queen Latifah), Synclaire James-Jones (Kim Coles), Maxine "Max" Felice Shaw (Erika Alexander) and Regina "Regine" Hunter (Kim Fields) all together made being single and living in New York the LIFE. 

Although there were relationships that sprouted along the way, this great unforgettable show will always be a favorite of mine. It was mostly the comedy that was shared between each character.

ADD Blogged Out: Thirst Traps Of The Week Amazon Edition

My friend Dan Andre and his two friends created a blog entitled ADD BLOGGED OUT where they post everything from new music, comedic videos, basically anything that has the hottest buzz on the net the three of them have their hands on it. there 's one particular posts that I found quite entertaining and amusing and it is the "Thirst Trap". 

Basically to my understanding "Thirst Trap" is when a drop dead gorgeous female posts pictures of her face or body to social networking sites and it makes the guys go crazy bisurk into drool mode. Well as funny as it may seem which it is by the way, "Thirst" means "Desperate" sorta kind of. You just have to head over to ADD BLOGGED OUT and look at the post for yourself to see what I mean. I find it so funny but yet entertaining.

Glee Graduates!!!

Last night everyone got to say goodbye to their McKinley High School favorite Glee members Finn (Cory Monteith), Rachael (Lea Michelle), Mercedes (Amber Riley), Kurt (Chris Colfer), Noah (Mark Salling), Santana (Naya Rivera), Quinn (Diana Argon), Mike (Harry Shum Jr.) and many others as they Gleefully graduated their way out. Glee has been on since 2009 and those of us who are Gleeks (fans) have grown up to love these unforgettable characters and fell in love with their individual storylines from break-ups, to make-ups, to bullying, celebrity tributes, trying to fit in, gender/sexuality, pregnancy and even family drama. 


The show isn't ending, at all Thank GOD, but sadly our favorites are leaving the show. Who's to say they won't return back for an episode or two?! I know I will love this cast and my two favorite lesbians Santana and Brittany Pierce (Heather Morris). *inserts real tears* I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!

Favorite Instagram Of The Week - Badgalriri

If you're not on the famously iPhone/Android app Instagram by now, I say kill yourself...JUST KIDDING! Instagram is a photo based app that allows you to post any picture you want, edit the photo with effects and share it with your friends. A lot of celebrities use the app to post candid pictures of themselves rather having the paparazzi upload silly, wrong, and embarrassing pictures of them. 

My favorite Instagramer though has happened to be ROC NATION recording popstar Rihanna. We all know Rihanna is a trendsetter and she shares her looks with fans on the app. What made me favor Rihanna's Instagram photos is that she posts whatever she wants and captions it however she feels like; they're entertaining and dope at the same time. Girls Night Out "CLUB AMNESIA" [Video]

There's nothing like going out and having a good time with your Churls (girlfriends). What ever happened to the 90s PEPSI commercials that were authentic? Growing up I remember the PEPSI girl now actress Hallie Kate Eisenberg who you would see all over the PEPSI commercials which seemed memorable and fun. If you don't remember then take a look:

Back then PEPSI commercials meant a lot to people all over who were avid PEPSI cola drinkers. It was something about the little girl who made you think the next time you were at a store, restaurant, bar, etc. your first beverage was a PEPSI. Nowadays, i'm just not getting that vibe with PEPSI and their commercials. Of course, PEPSI uses A-list celebrities in their commercials, but it's like okay, how about something different. We see these celebrities EVERYWHERE now that the internet has become such a global microscopic eye of one's life. Yes, back then celebrities were used in the commercials, but notice how it just wasn't about the celebrities the focus on the commercial was Hallie Kate Eisenberg. 

I think it's time for something different and real from PEPSI. They're getting a bit redundant with how they're trying to sell their product. PEPSI commercials just isn't what it used to be like; with regular models selling it and not just being lazy and paying a celebrity to do the commercial. What i'm trying to say is that the PEPSI commercials back then were more relatable than the ones out now. Although, I stopped drinking soda I know many people who do and when they purchase a PEPSI can they don't even automatically think of the recent commercial with the big name celebrity. PEPSI needs to change someone or something in that advertising department. Personally, I'm looking for something loving, relating, unforgettable and timeless.

Tasty Tuesday: Cool Cucumber Salad

Call me whatever you want, but I never knew a salad could be considered a salad still without lettuce. Duh to me hence "Macaroni, Potato and Sea Food Salad"...don't judge me. On a serious note, I always thought a salad always contained lettuce. However, i'm not a big fan of lettuce. When I get a salad I'm usually eating everything else but the green leaves. I am a fan of cold cucumbers and thanks to friend in my head Bethenny Frankel former New York Housewife now turned reality tv entrepreneur she has shared her cucumber salad recipe. 

New Music: Ester Dean "Baby Makin Love"

Profound singer/songwriter/actress extraordinaire Ester Dean over the weekend just released a track of hers which she wrote entitled "Baby Makin Love". The song gives you a 90s feel with her raspy graspy vocals over it. If you're not familiar with Ester Dean then you'd know these following artists whom she has written for such as Beyonce, Mary J Blige, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Soulja Boy Tell' Em, Lil Wayne, Kelly Rowland and R. Kelly just to name a few. 

The biggest songs out of these artists I just named I can bet your bottom dollar that song was written by Ester Dean. Adding to her many accomplishments, over the weekend Ester Dean was just awarded Songwriter of the Year at the BMI Awards. This young lady from Oklahoma has a lot up her sleeve and for the industry. Currently signed to Roc Nation fans patiently await an album to come out. Meanwhile check out her new song "Baby Makin Love", this is a never ending repeat for me!!! 

Weekend Recap 5/18 - 5/20

What did I do this weekend? Hmm...well for starters can we talk about how bad I need a haircut?! Thank You I Know! Basically this weekend was chill. Here's how I spent it, for those who care to know what people with no life do. 

I'm A VLOGGER Now!!!

Yeah, so I officially started VLOGGING! "I'm so excited, I just can't hide it!" (cues Jessie Spano #SavedByTheBell). No but I really am exciting, This is me stepping out of my comfort zone and being hands on with the whole movement of social networking and the arts. I enjoy recording and taking pictures, of course with friends and when I'm by myself more so when I'm secluded. 

Enough blabber, the name of my VLOG show is "Let's Talk W/ LaTroy" a conversation between me and you all things a go! I basically will do reviews, how-to's, give advice, talk entertainment, gossip, share personal stories and more. I'm actually putting who I am right out there in front of the WORLD! I just hope I actually have a following and people will find me entertaining.

Young Twain - Soon Enough [Mixtape]

Remember last October I told you about a young unsigned rapper from Detroit, Michigan by the name of Young Twain? Well if you don't remember, you can click the link here. Constantly on his grind and successfully having a feature single on the radio; Recording artist Young Twain just released his first official mixtape entitled Soon Enough. It started from YouTube as his platform to networking and eventually found himself a mentor in RnB singer Miguel's manager; the two have been grinding non-stop [HUNGRY ACHIEVES SUCCESS!].


Soon Enough has been receiving positive responses from fans, friends and even those out of the country. Hits on the mixtape such as "I Grind", "Pose","They Ain't Gotta Know","Arrogant", "Girls Wanna Have Fun" and Young Twain's Detroit Anthem "I Love Detroit" are sure to have you thinking the wait was worth it. Keeping Up With The Kardashians Season 7

Who's ready for an all new season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians?! I know I am!!! Oh Yeah Oh Yeah Oh Yeah Oh Yeah! This season is family packed fun, craziness and dram. I think season 7 the skeletons come out of the closet this year. This season we get to see Kourtney's announcement of her second child (which is a baby girl), Khloe's parental DNA fiasco, Kim's divorce journey and the two growing stars Kendall and Kylie.


I can't wait until the show coming this May at a new time slot 9PM. The show regularly comes on at 10pm on E! but I think this new season is going to be an hour long. I can't wait, here's the promo video!

Top 10 Workout Songs Of April

The weather is getting extremely nice and that means it's time to get our butts out of the house and workout! As usual Chris Lawhorn of Run Hundred has emailed me the Top 10 Workout Songs of April. It's funny when I got the email from Chris because the songs that are on the top 10 list are actually the songs that I workout to whether I'm jogging, on the elliptical or treadmill. Kim Kardashian & Kanye West In A Relationship?!

In recent celebrity-ville, talk is going around that reality tv starlet turned entrepreneur Kim Kardashian and established rapper Kanye West are dating. The two go back as to having a great friendship back some years. Both who just got out of relationships; a marriage with a basketball player and a model turned singer (Kris Humphries and Amber Rose). Recently the two have been spotted in New York shopping around and running errands in El Lay. The two haven't confirmed their "relationship", not on Twitter or on their websites. I guess that's what the public is awaiting for now :-).

Getting Back Into The Groove Of Gossip Girl

Finally reconnected with one of my favorite CW shows; Gossip Girl. It took me a while to get back into the mist of the show. After hearing a friend of mine talk about how she's addicted to the show, I thought it was best for me to watch what drama stirred up on the show. Shockingly, a lot has changed since I last watched.

Thankfully, Gossip Girl is one of those shows to where if you stopped watching and picked up later in the new episodes you won't get confused on what's going on. Of course, if you don't know the characters then you will get lost in the sauce. Really, I believe if you loved the movie Cruel Intentions then you would absolutely love Gossip Girl. If you're a New York City Upper East Side type of person then this show is a must for you to watch. Gossip Girl does provide drama, but not any drama where it's champagne throwing, spitting in faces, or pulling hair. I'd like to call Gossip Girl...A Bit Of Drama With Class!

It's not rare that I write posts about up and coming artist, djs, rappers and etc. I actually enjoy giving those the opportunity to post their craft on my blog site. By doing so, I came across an up and coming RnB songster by the name of Derrick Milano; which you can call him D.Milano. The Skorpion Show - Madonna MDNA & Melanie Fiona The MF Life Album Reviews

YouTube's successful vlogger Kevin Simmons from the weekly pop-culture show The Skorpion Show took heed with his video album review for Madonna's "MDNA" and Melanie Fiona's sophomore album "The MF Life"; sadly co-host Makael McLendon wasn't there to share his views as well. The two albums which recently came out, new on the charts was highly requested. Both albums are available for purchase on iTunes and your local stores where music is sold.

Both albums have a standard album and a deluxe, but I agree with Kevin when he suggests never to buy the standard album always go for the deluxe. I brought both albums but I only listened to Madonnna so far. I will get to Melanie Fiona soon and then I'll list my reviews for both albums.
